UN Human Rights Council expert Richard Falk said in a statement that Bostonian's got what they deserved noting that George W. Bush sought a pre-text to invade Iraq and dropped a famous quote which blamed America.

Falk’s commentary began by stating how ‘Islamaphobic’ America has become and how Bush manipulated the crowds to go to war in Iraq, “the neocon presidency of George W. Bush was in 2001, prior to the attacks, openly seeking a pretext to launch a regime-changing war against Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, and the 9/11 events, as interpreted and spun, provided just the supportive domestic climate needed for launching an aggressive war against the Baghdad regime.”

The article then attacks Bostonian's directly with their ”hysterical dragnet” before explaining how Boston’s dead were “canaries” that “have to die” because of America’s “fantasy of global domination.”

“The American global domination project is bound to generate all kinds of resistance in the post-colonial world. In some respects, the United States has been fortunate not to experience worse blowbacks, and these may yet happen, especially if there is no disposition to rethink US relations to others in the world, starting with the Middle East.”

Richard Falk is the UN’s “Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967.” He has held the post since 2008, despite exposure as a 9/11 conspiracy theorist.

This story may take an ugly turn for our side of the political spectrum Barry. I am having drinks in 90 minutes with someone who knows a little more about the issue than I do. I will expound on it later.

This ended up most likely much ado about nothing. I had a conversation out with a buddy of mine last week after they cleared the Saudi kid, and I basically took the Barry end of the argument that it was more likely some inbred redneck tea party faggot with a bible and tri-corner hat. I obviously was wrong. My buddy is a finance guy and republican, not a whack job, more a Druff-style fiscal conservative. He went with Islamic terrorist.

When I woke up yesterday, I had a voicemail from him that was a bit confusing, but basically him ribbing me that not only was he right about it being a Islamic minded terrorist, but that he bought the actual explosives from his literal next door neighbor. Same guy lives maybe a 3/4 mile from me.

Anyways, his neighbor is the owner of a large chain of fireworks stores. This is the story describing the connection.

anyways, Bruce denies that what was sold was sufficient to cause the explosion, but I guess that remains to be seen. Kind of an interesting character, extremely successful business owner obviously, nice guy, owned the Kentucky Derby winner last year Animal Kingdom. He has a bit of a sketchy past as he's kind of a Hesh character(given we have been talking Sopranos this week.) Had a history with Gotti back in the day, and with a lot of other guys that one would be associated with being in business in my town for a long time.

Where the story I thought might get political is that he's a serious shaker in the fundraiser world, almost exclusively on the Dem side. He has personally hosted off the top of my head, Hillary, Bill, Obama, and Deval Patrick in his home for fundraisers. I have never attended any, but my buddy has just as a business thing. Being in NE Ohio, we are always in the epicenter of the election, and it could certainly become talk radio fodder if the President, former president, secretary of State, and current governor of Mass have all broken bread in the home of the guy who actually owns the company that sold the explosive. That said, the bombers probably bought a lot of explosives, and there is nothing illegal about the business. My buddy also said he kind of sat out the last election a bit as he wasn't real fond of the class warfare aspect of the '12 election being extremely wealthy, and most of this fundraising was done in '07 and '08. So unless it's proven conclusively that his company's material was used, and it catches the attention of talk radio, it's probably a non-issue, but certainly a departure from the narrative that Republicans felt the msm was 'praying it was a right winger' angle that was played out last week.
