In Cool Hand Luke they said it was impossible to eat 30 hard boiled eggs in an hour. Paul Newman did it and at lot of prisoners lost a lot of money in bets. Just sayin, be careful with your money. The human stomach is an amazing thing, ask Joey Chestnuts and the late Paul Newman.
It 100% can be done and as many calories have been consumed within 24 hrs by fitness guys. strongmen etc.
The hurdle is to avoid the throwing up, getting it worked off to help, having a plan on what is bought/consumed and time frames. Sleep is moot, sleep big time prior to the start and a rest period after a full first day then back at it.
After the first several hours he will have no bile left to digest and he will squirt like crazy, which in this case is good. The food will fly through him, how it is confirmed he never pukes is beyond me without getting personal.
