That Jake Tapper guy tweeted that pic, and a lot of people say it's a photoshop, so take it with a grain of salt. Some people saying something hinky behind head in pic, others disagree and say it's too clean and you need a clear pic to do that. Obviously I have no idea, i will leave that to 4D

I took a look at it, the only thing that looks somewhat odd is the girl on the right in the tufts gear but that's because she's in front of the smoke and she really spikes the histogram. Other than that the clipping edges and surrounding artifacts seem pretty uniform and shadows match up. Now if this was a RAW file that was taken at 4000x4000 or higher and edited and compressed down, well, anything is possible. PS, this picture is only clear for something that is missing 90% of it's original color data.

The way I understand it from a post of someone listening to the police broadcast is that a black guy ran from a robbery elsewhere onto the MIT campus and it simply happened there.

yes, Arab men in their early 20's would certainly sound right with MIT, but those listening who were excited about it dropped it very quickly, so I'd guess it is unrelated

I don't know what is going on, or if it is related to the MIT incident, but all these people listening to the police band say police are now in pursuit of a carjacker/carjackers. i tuned in to hear some cop saying, 'they have explosives. They are throwing grenades!" don't know if it's related to MIT ,a different issue, or just random crazy shit. It said Watertown, automatic handguns and hand grenades.
