The US Military thinks you are a fucking idiot

"Crippling sanctions, starving soldiers, and an antiquated, rickety military collectively push the idea of a concerted North Korean strike to the fringes of credibility.

Do you mean that when the NK regime falls it would open the door for china to move in and absorb NK into there owne regime? and doing so enlarges the chineese population and land mass while enabling them to be that much closer to absorbing SK and all points south and beyond. If not who would be the likly party to move into NK and govern these people? if not another communist country hell bent on world domination at any cost.
I would think that war is the very worst option and negotiation for what ever price is essential.
China will not stand a US or frend's of there's to occupy And govern the country next door to them.

LOL Baron, I didn't see your post before I posted that but I can see why you thought so. My post was further commentary on the ineptitude of the NK regime. Could they inflict damage on Seoul?? Of course but shortly thereafter we would turn their country into an ashtray. The last time they tried to put a rocket into space it fell apart and dropped into the drink shortly after launch.

All of this is bullshit posturing and not to be taken seriously by the rank and file.

The kid lives like a fucking king, he's not gonna risk fucking that up for the same reason his dad never did. He knows they stand ZERO chance of winning ANY war. The fact that this shit is even reported is what is ridiculous. Every time these slant eyed primates start wagging their little 3 inch peckers around, the US media goes apeshit. When Russia or China decide to go to war, lemme know. NK is a fucking joke.
Yeah but he could go out in a blaze of glory. Crazy fucks have done dumber shit before. When you grow up bring told you're the king and the next leader of the country and suddenly you're 20-something with the whole military including nukes (feeble, undeliverable nukes, but still) at your disposal, it probably fucks with your head a little. He could be batshit crazy like Hitler and then all bets are off. Also, we have commitments to SK and Japan, our ties run deep with them, and SK in particular could really get pounded.
Not sure why you think the guy is a "crazy fuck". Also not sure why you think he would give up his life of EXTEREME luxury and complete power to start an unwinnable war. The kid is more interested in basketball than world domination. They puff out their chest every few years to look good for their starving military and dying citizens, then fade into obscurity til next time. The kid, just like his father, isn't interested in expanding. He's interested in keeping things exactly the way they are. With him rich, and in complete control. Would you give up all that up to start an unwinnable war with the US? Neither would I. Neither will he. Lol @ limitles who thinks he cares about his citizens. 137? Nah.

Its not that I disagree with the overall theme here, but the sinking of the ROKS Cheonan wasnt chest puffing, nor was it an isolated incident....

Every bully has to occasionally get physical to keep up their image. They do just enough to keep people worried about them, and never push it a step further. His dad did the exact same thing. The fact that they smacked their passive, retarded younger brother on the nose a few times, doesn't make them an international threat.

    Perhaps / hopefully.

There are grown men with the launch keys for Pakistani nukes who legit do not know what a nuclear warhead is or how it works. They just think its a really badass bomb.

Point being, the conservative threat assessment is always right until its wrong. DPRK has demonstrated a capacity for stupidity, hubris, and avarice that certainly leaves wiggle room for alternate theories than chest thumping posturing.

I just think the people in charge there have way too much to lose while they stand to gain absolutely nothing. Could NK do something stupid? Sure. But so could every foreign government. I'm not saying ignore them. Keep an eye on them, but see them for what they are. An economically weak country that can't provide even the most basic necessities to its citizens, and who's nuclear technology is bound to be outdated before they even achieve it. They just aren't front page or headline news. And Pakistan worries me far more than NK does.

NK is, obv, really close to Seoul. If they did manage to fuck up Seoul it would be an economic blow to many countries including the US. Not many people realize how much international based manufacturing and trade occurs within Seoul.

All I know is, if thats accurate, and there arent a bunch of brain washed automatons with fingers on buttons in NK who feel that if they show some initiative and glass a Yankee warship they might get an extra portion of rat meat with the rice, then the world is a safer place than I thought, and thats a good thing.

I would be giving extra rations of rat meat and rice to those who DIDN'T piss off the rest of the world and did exactly as they were told. A world that is waiting for any excuse to come in and fuck me up the ass and take away my extravagant lifestyle and complete power. The difference in lifestyles between the people who have access to "the button" and the average citizen is so vast, that even these people have absolutely no reason to fuck up a good thing.

You can be forgiven for thinking that unicorns only exist in medieval fables and modern-day cartoons. North Korean scientists say you are wrong.

On Thursday, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the North Korea’s government mouthpiece, said scientists “reconfirmed” the location of the burial site of the unicorn ridden by King Dongmyeong, the founding father of the ancient Korean kingdom of Goguryeo (37 BC-668 AD).

The unicorn’s grave was rediscovered near a temple in the capital Pyongyang, with a rectangular rock engraved with the words ‘Unicorn Lair’ at its entrance, according to the report. The report did not elaborate on what further evidence of the royal unicorn’s existence was discovered.

(WATCH: Kim Jong Un Has a New Theme Song)

Like most news reports from North Korea, even unicorns are used to underscore the legitimacy of the current regime. “The discovery proves that Pyongyang was a capital city of Ancient Korea as well as Koguryo (Goguryeo) Kingdom,” the report quoted Jo Hui Sung, director of the History Institute of the National Academy of Sciences, as saying.

King Dongmyeong’s biography is half history, half myth. As the legend goes, Kongmyeong was born from an egg impregnated by sunlight and united the tribes left in disarray after the collapse of the Chinese Western Han dynasty. His line ruled over the Korean peninsula for seven centuries until the return of the Chinese under the Tang.

(PHOTOS: The Dictator’s Bride: Kim Jong Un Debuts His First Lady)

The North Korean news agency does not have much of a reputation for factual accuracy. When the country’s former dictator Kim Jong Il died in December 2011, it reported a rock carving glowing brightly and ice near his presumed birthplace to have cracked “so loud, it seemed to shake the Heavens and the Earth” in mourning of the Dear Leader. While he was alive, Kim reportedly invented the hamburger, wrote 1,500 books in three years while at university, and shot eleven holes-in-one the first time he played golf (a feat verified by his 17 bodyguards).

Looking back at those reports, unicorns don’t seem that far off.
