People dismiss gun control because "you can't stop crazy people from getting guns". What if we could help most of those crazy people before they started shooting up public places.
Giving everyone health care, including access to therapists and psychologists, will cost quite a few dollars. Far less than the Iraq war, of course, but a significant amount. But every time a bunch of people get shot, we cry "we HAVE to do something, to make sure this never happens again" and then we don't do shit. Maybe it's time to do something serious and concrete that addresses the problem.

But why do so many Americans kill people when this kind of thing is rare or nonexistent in most advanced countries (including some that have a lot of guns like Switzerland and Canada)? The gun situation is also weird. Fox was reporting the guns are registered to his mother. How many females(and kindergarten teachers) own a Bushmaster .223? Did she register the weapons that her kids wanted? It would make more sense if the weapon was registered to their father.
