There is also a built in human impulse for most people to eat everything on your plate.
There are a lot of food delivery places in major cities that will deliver you meals made by a professional chef. The great thing about this service is that you can tell them how many calories you want to eat a day. For example, I rotate between 1500 and 2000 day depending on what I have going on. They provide me with 3 meals a day for 5 days a week as I usually go out to eat on the weekends.
Here is a sample of what I got delivered the last few days:
Wednesday
Caramelized Spring Onion Turkey Sausage omelet
BBQ Chicken Salad
Carne Asada Burrito
Thursday
Spring Seasonal Frittata
Loaded baked potato with lotsa stuff
Turkey meatballs with whole wheat pasta
Friday
Steel Cut Oatmeal
Watercress salad with hearts of palm, chayote, chicken, and citrus Vinaigrette
Pork loin with blueberry BBQ sauce creamy corn and collards
While these are not the healthliest of options, I know it is something I will stick to. If I feel like going healthier for a week I can just email them and they will switch me to the Diebetic friendly options for the week. What is most important is that both options taste awesome.
This type of service may be out of reach for many as it runs around 600-700 a month to have all these meals delivered. However, it works for maintaining or losing weight without making yourself miserable. Also, if you are busy like me it frees up a ton of time as you dont have to make something or go out during the week.
