Dumb idea. Even if vegas is the better player(65-35%) it means he still has a 35% chance of losing money on a bet he already won. Of course you snap accepted, like this means anything anyway. I'd accept it too if I owed somebody money, I'd even accept it against Phil Ivey for fuck sakes.

Why don't you just negotiate a deal. You started @ $75 allegedly & he started @ $250 so there must be some common ground as it was a stupid bet anyway & should have been negotiated down months ago. You look worse the longer this goes on.

Tony could shed more light on this. I will just say my $75 was a nuisance settlement offer and in no way an admission that I lost. Vegas is approaching this as he won the bet. Thats the fundamental disagreement that will not allow us to get any closer, $75-$250.

I agree with this statement as it is clear that both parties felt this way during negotiations.

I had a funny conversation with Searles last week. He IMed me shortly after Vegas agreed to escrow (which was odd because I've never talked to the guy before) and he said "Oh shit, Vegas is up for it. What do I do now?"

I said find any excuse you can not to cooperate, stall for time, play the victim, accuse Vegas of being unreasonable, make ridiculous demands, reply to every post in the relevant threads and keep them bumped, and also bring it up in unrelated threads as often as possible. He replied "Sounds like a plan".

I thought the whole convo was a joke. Maybe he was being serious. Haha.

He followed this advice to the T.

I picked one (Tony), Vegas agrees in public, then behind closed doors makes sure it wont happen. Then he looks like the good guy, in public, while not wanting to escrow all along. Again, he is the one who has been refusing to escrow this entire time. Im willing to escrow, settle, what have you. Vegas is not. He is putting on a good PR campaign on the boards though, I will give him that much.

I'm sorry, but this is 100% incorrect. I sent the information to Searles to escrow and heard crickets. I came up with the settlement idea, but Vegas and Searles came up with the numbers.

I withdrew from both mediation and offering to escrow because frankly this dispute is none of my business and I decided to keep it that way.

However, to paint my decision as being based in any way off of Vegas's actions is 100% incorrect. The comment about Vegas "agreeing in public and then behind closed doors making sure it won't happen" is simply untrue.

This right here in a nutshell is the reason jsearles needs to be gone. He has lied repeatedly over the course of almost 6 months trying to make me look like the bad guy here, much like what Rawwolf did to Drexel. Not that we needed it, but now we have absolute proof of his constant bullshit thanks to Tony. How is this asshole still here? Why am I not given the same courtesy as Drexel? Wasn't there rules put in place after all that went down so this kind of shit wouldn't happen?

This whole thing really is starting to look like long-form trolling. It closely follows the SlimT blueprint for pissing everyone off and dominating forum discussion. You must admit it's a very effective technique, and this probably won't be the last we'll see of it.

Or more likely, my story is close to correct. The last conversation I had with Tony, he told me on your behalf that you would most likely decline the offer. He then asked me if I was still willing to escrow. I told him that I was, but you had made it perfectly clear during the conversations that you felt it unneccessary as we would never agree to arbs anyway. The next communication I get from Tony is him withdrawing from it all. So I take from that that he offered my long standing escrow option in full to you and you reiterated your stance. This frustrated him and he withdrew. If thats a bad read on my part, so be it, but thats how I saw it all go down.
