All those guys hope your party reverts back to the old grift if Trump loses. I don’t know if that’s a good bet or not. Trump is such a one off. I am generally curious to see what the Republican Party is if he loses? We have had like 3 one term presidents in a hundred years, yet his people will still love him. I guess it depends on how long he lives, and if he wants to play kingmaker(I assume he will) where he’s popular and how mired in legal shit he is after he’s gone?
You’ll have a bunch of guys like DeSantis types trying to capture his mojo, but none of these Trump loyalists are close to him as far as skill. Then you’ll have the Cruz’s and old guard hoping they have another run. The direction of the parties is really a huge question mark on both sides. Clearly the Dems are a mess also when a senile old man is your best bet.
I have some small hope that this incredibly horrible choice is a wake up call, but that’s naive, and it won’t be. I’d love to see someone run the middle, truly, and something new emerge, but the country is too polarized and going downhill fast.
