Thank you Druff! No sooner do you post about how miserable the Dodger bullpen is than they turn in 2 & 2/3 innings of shutout pitching to close out the Giants tonight.

Your analysis is magic--reverse magic that is

please share some more of your negative thinking re: Dodgers

Hit a homer too! We're looking alright at 5-1 all on the road. Few shakey moments like Tues vs Marlins. Looks like NL East might have 4 80+ win teams.

What you are witnessing is like Pedro Martinez in ‘99 or Arrietta in 2015. (I have to consider Arrietta a little bit but it came to mind.). Pedro was appointment television. So glad I saw that. Following DeGrom is so much fun too

My boy Simp is on the search for the next NHL 1P. To his credit, he has been pounding me with DeGrom autobet passion since the start. 1AM last night I’m getting stuff from him about DeGrom. Simp is pretty calm but he is jacked and killing it with DeGrom.

I’m like, somebody better be in an accident to bother me. Oh, DeGrom. That’s worth it too.

    DeGrom is rare shit. Enjoy.

Man, I hope Clevinger is ok, he left with a tight upper back after 5. He has been basically unhittable his first few starts. He increased his velocity offseason and gets into the upper 90s now, and went 7 scoreless with 12 k’s and 1 hit in his first outing and 5 scoreless today when 10k’s and 1 hit before leaving. This Indians rotation with him taking the leap could be the best I’ve ever seen it. It’s early and cold and hard to hit so I don’t think he’s Mulva-theadworthy yet, but if he isn’t hurt, he’s looking pretty sick good right now. This team is going to struggle on offense this year, but they’re going to win a lot of fucking games with these starters. Kluber/Bauer/Carrasco/Clevinger and this Bieber kid looks pretty damn good as the fifth. I think this rotation could be special in a way that makes me almost optimistic that they could be a much harder out come playoff time than last year. I don’t want to get over my skis, but this pitching rotation feels potentially historically good.

Christian Yelich is hitting .361 with 5 HR, a .489 OBP, and has driven in 13 runs.

    Great start for him.

Unfortunately Yelich is being overshadowed by someone else -- a third-year player who had a disappointing 2018.

Cody Bellinger is batting .455 with 7 HR in the Dodgers' first 10 games so far. He also has 18 RBI, to currently (easily) give him the early triple crown.

This is actually one of the best 10-game starts to a season that a player has ever had.

Is he for real? Or will baseball figure out another hole in his swing, like the 2017 Astros did, and most of baseball followed in 2018?

I guess we will see. But this is very encouraging.

Dodgers are destroying the ball in general. In the first 10 games:

    - They've scored 12 or more three times (!!)

    - They've scored 10 or more four times

    - They've scored 7 or more six times

    - They've scored 4 or more nine times

This has made up for the crappy bullpen, and the team is off to an 8-2 start.

The story isn’t Bellinger or the rest, Druff.

It’s the new kid batting coach. Literally a child protege. Great Dodgers story actually. He’s the guy responsible for JD Martinez, for instance.

Can’t believe they didn’t extend previous batting coach Mark McGuire to a 3/$24m.

Dodgers don’t always fuck up tbf

It could be a long 6 months for you as far as having nothing to needle the Los Angeles members over with no Lakers and the dodgers playing this well.

and they said last night on the ESPN telecast that he's still able to coach JD...

    could get awkward come October...

World Series? Either team? How square

    Yet....

Cody Bellinger has more home runs than the Giants, Rockies, Indians, Pirates, and Tigers. He is tied with the Twins and Royals.

Last year I binked the under with Bellinger HR. This year I didn’t. It’s posted above.

I did take Seager HR under for obvious reasons. No one understands the Dodgers as I do. It’s my gift.

I will never run out of material cause it’s the Dodgers.

Having said that... I have been on record as saying in previous years that Bellinger has that droopy eyelid stupid look about him.

Van Scoyok has transformed Cody Bellinger. He looks patient and full of good ideas in the batter’s box this year. That a big deal!

The pitching is suspect as usual. Like the Patriots they will roll through their weak division. Unlike the Patriots they will squander their opportunity through poor preparation for post season. As always, they (like Druff) believe the regular season and post season are the same.

The Patriots have a brilliant coach and front office. They are owned by a rich and prideful guy.

The Dodgers are an insurance company’s investment. Imagine Flo from Progressive in the front office. This is how it is.

    vive la différence

Laugh at the Cubs. Dodgers are still trying to accomplish what they already have.

Yeah, the illusion of Dodgers championship success is my wheelhouse.

Your hate makes me jealous. I’m a big believer in spite and hate being the world’s greatest motivational tools. I need to find something to hate appropriately. Been off my game. Makes you soft.

They are always soooo over-rated. It’s maddening. It’s as if everyone is blind

When they were 6-2 they had only returned .75 units. That is stupid wagering. Wretched excess fandom

There is always LeBron BCR. The reasons for hate isn’t only an LA thing but it’s enough for me.

Grrrrrr….you talk up the Dodgers, they lose 4-3 same day to the Cards and lose a starting pitcher

a week ago you shit talk on them, and immediately they go on a 5 game win streak while you are silent...

do we need any more proof that you what you predict is the reverse of what will happen??

the Dodgers need an antidote to you recent Mary Sunshine post about them...

    well?....Dodger fans are waiting...

Last night the Twins were the first team since the Dodgers in May 2014 to hit 3 homers off DeGrom. That was unexpected (especially with no DH/Cruz) and fun to watch for me. Oddly enough, I checked game logs from last year and DeGroms worst start of the year was also his 3rd start. I thought it might be cold weather, but that was @Miami (!?!).

Feeling pretty decent about the Twins chances still, especially now with Clevinger out 6-8 weeks.
