Asshole pizza vendor spitting in food at Comerica Park charged with crime, pleads guilty

Jaylon Kerley was making pizzas at Detroit's Comerica Park in September, and decided to do this:



Not sure how the video came to be, but he was identified and arrested.

Now he's pleading guilty, and faces up to 4 years in prison, though he's likely to get much less than that.

While I agree 4 years is extreme, as I said, he will get a much lesser sentence, so I'm happy to see it.

For decades, I felt the public was far too cavalier about servers or cooks spitting in food, as if it was an appropriate "punishment" for difficult customers.

That's a bunch of crap. It's both disgusting and a health hazard, and nobody has a right to do that to you. It should be a crime with a stiff enough sentence to discourage it.

Glad to see a case like this finally being prosecuted.

It is unclear why he spit in the pizza. It's also unclear if this was being made for a specific customer he disliked, or if he was just doing it to be an asshole.

Apparently the video was recorded by a 17-year-old also working at the park, and Jaylon (the spitter) was aware of it.

And now the 17-year-old is claiming he was wrongfully terminated for releasing the video.

For someone who live in Michigan that saw this several weeks ago it's a moonlanding but yea they guy deserves everything that is coming to him. I'm sure because he works at Comerica Park he gets paid more and probably gets some other perks with the job but clearly the guy has issues.

I agree that this should be considered a violent crime. A public caning plus a 6 months prison sentence seems appropriate.

Absolutely take care of the good custermer,s and earning the approval of the problematic ones are a source of pride HOWEVER,,, there is a class of individual we're my argument still stands and my description of them is quiet accurate.
