I could totally see the Dodgers getting to Verlander tonight. They've seen him and the Dodgers have a great offense. Verlander currently at 236 innings for the year.

Pitchers tire, look at how shitty Kenley Jansen has been and he's damn near unhittable.

I fully expect another 9-8 style game.

Darvish won't last 4 innings, though, if there is a game 7.
    I fully don't expect another 9-8 game.

The weather today couldn't be more different than the weather during Games 1 and 2.

The first 2 games featured hot, unusually dry weather, and the ball carried big time.

Today features the type of weather which keeps pitchers' ERAs down in Dodger Stadium. High won't reach 70, and low clouds will persist.

Pitchers will have had almost 48 full hours bewteen games, which is enough for any reliever who doesn't go a long time.

I'd give you a green for the weather effect, but you're chintzy with the rep.

Getting tempting to go to this one.

Even though there's no way it will be a Dodgers clincher, the ticket prices for between-the-bases loge seats has fallen to $900.

That's not chump change, and it's more than I've ever paid for any sporting event, but it's starting to bridge from "ridiculous" to "expensive but it's the World Series so fuck it".

Also I would be going myself unless I find someone who wants to also pay that type of $. Ben would be devastated if he missed trick or treating.

I don't want to pay $3k or whatever for Game 7, if it exists, so fuck that.

It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?

Did you attend a World Series game in KC?

    Did you take your kid(s)?

How much did you pay per seat?

Be honest, which I know is hard for you.

Yes, in 2014 and 2015 I attended games. It was well documented here.

No, my oldest son just turned 6. He would have been barely 3 and 4 years old back then and would not have enjoyed it. Now he is a fanatic and already bemoaning the fact that Lorenzo Cain will be a Yankee next year. He absolutely would love to go to the World Series, and would skip Halloween without question.

In 2014 I went for face value because I was a partial season ticket holder. I could run down to the man cave and look at the stubs (I have the full sheet uncut as I used the electronic version) but I think the WS seats were about $285 each. In 2015 I was not able to get the partial season ticket package because the Royals got greedy as fuck after the 2014 run. I still went to one game each round of the playoffs. Game 1 in 2015 is the best event Ive been to in my entire life. Started with Escobar inside the park HR, later Gordon tied it in the 9th with a 2 out HR. Walk off in the 11th. $1600 total on the day for tickets, parking, souvenirs, etc for my wife and I. Again, this was all documented real time on PFA. And $1600 to me and in Missouri would have to be about $3000+ to you and in California. You're supposedly a millionaire which would be 10x what I have in the bank but you're also a retardedly cheap moron. You cant take the money with you when you die dude

Every kid is different. Benjamin really enjoyed the 3 games he went to this year, as well as the one last year (though not as much as the ones this year). However, he is only moderately following the Dodgers when they play on TV, including the World Series.

He is excited about Halloween and isn't even thinking about the fact that there's a game today.

So he rests in between the "Kid is too young and won't care" and "Kid is a fanatic and would remember it forever".

Also as I said before, it is unlikely I will get the quality of seats that I got for the other 4 games he attended, so he will think "WTF is this shit" when we go to our seats, even if overall they are fairly good.

I have money because I don't waste it. So at some point you ask yourself "Is it really worth spending $1k for 3 hours", especially if it's not going to be the clinching game unless they lose, and that would just be depressing.

    Stake me, bro.

On a side note, you making nasty (and untrue) remarks about my kid earlier in the thread, of whom you have no information, is yet another indication what a piece of shit you are.

This is especially true given that you have a kid almost the same age as mine.

Hopefully your son will never find out that Daddy is both a bet welcher and was begging for tiny stakes to play poker on the internet.

    Couple thoughts and my bet

The handle this World Series is double what it was last year with the Cubs. That is honestly hard to process. I can only imagine wealthy LA types catching the excitement. Stories about Houston furniture store owner Mattress Mack laying off free furniture promotion if Astros win.

I have been at a complete loss about this line action. Been holding off trying to divine what this is saying. I have simply come to the conclusion it's deep pocketed fans and Mattress Mack types getting messy with their action.

The live betting in game 5 was unlike anything I have ever experienced live. I was posting a few during the last game. Dodgers up 4-0 with men on and 2 out ---> Astros +1000.

What was HOF and unprecedented was that there were points in the game you could get as much as +1000 Dodgers too. Huge middle & free $. You couldn't lose if you were sharp. I ended up netting +500 Astros after laying off etc.

I got Astros +110 at the Soutpoint just now. Verlander gets up 3 or 4 runs and it's over. Dodgers pen is toast. Expect Wood in relief but that's a HUGE gamble. Who has any idea how he will respond with men on in a high stress situation. Hill throws a lot of pitches and won't last long. Even if Hill gets up early an Astros bet is still live. 48 hours is wrong Druff. These guys HAVE thrown a LOT of pitches (and have been up in the pen a ton as well). Please put Maeda out again. I'll crush that live.

Tempted by the 7.5 over. I will regret passing but the Ravine is a joke.

That's it for me for now. Gonna lock the door and turn out the lights in the front part of the house. Fuck those Trick or Treaters. Parents wasting a teaching moment about the importance of sports.

    Catch you guys tonight.

Was it worth $1600 to me for my wife and I to be at a World Series game I absolutely will never forget? The fact thats even a question to you is LOLudicrous.

You admit your kid is already a spoiled brat that would be offended that he wasnt in the high roller seats? Tight life, I bet Bennie turns out great.

ITT i made a one line quip referencing autism. People for YEARS have accused you of either being autistic or having some sort of other malady. This was a dig at you essentially. In fact I said your 6 year old probably had the mental capacity of an 11 year old and would remember the game (which you are questioning). To pose my one line comment as anything like taking a dig at a small kid is just wrong. Nonetheless, much worse things have been said about me and my family on these boards. Quit being a thin skinned bitch just because youre being called out for being a poor father ITT.

Im sure my kid will be so disappointed to stumble upon PFA later in life and learn of my LOLz internet drama with Vegas and that I used to played $11 tournaments back in the day. If you really believe that, you take the internet entirely too seriously

Yes I do think your kid will be disappointed later in life if he stumbles upon this and sees what a douche you are.

Nice try with spinning the terrible joke you made into claiming the insult was only about me.

Also LOL at saying that $1600 you spent was "worth it" because you saw a highly memorable game where the Royals won. They could have easily gotten blown out by the 3rd inning, and you would have been picturing 16 hundred dollar bills lit on fire.

Also it should be noted that the Royals are a small market shit team which really may not be back in the World Series for decades, while the Dodgers have a deep farm system, 25 years of guaranteed big TV money, and are located in a city where a lot of players want to live. So yes, I assume they will be back within a few years (maybe even next year) when Benjamin is older.

Still funny seeing a bet welcher trying to tell me how I should be spending my money.

How about you spend $500 and pay vegas1369 the money you've owed him for 5+ years?

Before 2014 the Royals hadnt been to the WS since 1985. Before 2017 the Dodgers hadnt been to the WS since 1988. Im not sure how good you are at math but that works out exactly the same. I would be careful with those sweeping assumptions.

You gotta take risks in life. Of course the Royals could have lost. But they didnt. They played an epic game and I was there. But you wont ever be there if you arent there.

BTW, I dont owe Vegas shit. No need to rehash but one, he himself said I dont owe shit. Two, Ive paid hundreds of dollars that Ive won towards free rolls and other contests. Theres not much you can dig at me for so you repeatedly go to the "bet welcher" insult. Ive explained this a few times before. Do you honestly think it bothers me one iota? After literally thousands of times, and years and years on the forum? Do you think you call me a welcher and I get the shakes and rock back and forth in the fetal position crying just wishing you would stop saying it? Or more likely that I still have a good chuckle that you take the internet so seriously?

+117 Astros. Bought too early. Very interesting.

The sharp money is on the Dodgers the Southpoint floor mgr says. If you bet first, wave your ticket and are a 100lb young female kid amongst the old curmudgeons that occupy that place in the daytime - they'll tell you anything. She got a couple free drinks and a free meal at the Mexican joint too.

Can only speculate - Astros have been shit OTR. Dodgers will throw the kitchen sink at the game and this is a mulligan for the Astros. Except the sink has a leak in it.

Would not answer the question why the cashiers are escorted away from the book by security. No, they don't carry money.

The Series and this game is one of the biggest betting events of the year.

College football has a bigger handle than lol NFL atm.

Jimmy Vaccaro South Point says right now they just took another $100,000 for Dodgers and he describes it as sharp

    South Point +130 Astros

I'm dying ... have to fire again for value on Astros within next hour

    Fabulous, first class game already

Ticket values crashing right now on Stubhub.

I think there's a good chance I am going tonight. Only problem is that my friends are cheaper than me or not Dodgers fans, so it's still too expensive for them.

So I am stuck only buying solo tickets, but in some ways that might be an advantage.

If it weren't Halloween, I really would consider taking Ben at this point, but there's no way he would want to go given what he will miss.

Anyway I could buy a good loge level (2nd level) seat right now for like $800, and a seat similar to my NLDS one for like $1250.

Might get even better in a short time.
