I consider you to be more brainwashed than a communist college freshman.
Then you aren't very good at reading comprehension.

Whether you agree or disagree with my political opinions, they are not a rehash of Republican or alt-right talking points, and that should be clear after reading enough of what I write.

There have been several times within the past year that I have expressed political opinions which differ from both the mainline Republican Party and its further-right critics.

While I am definitely a conservative and clearly side more with Republicans on most issues, I consider each one individually and form my own opinions.

You don't need to accuse someone of being brainwashed just because their opinions differ from your own.

To be honest I don't know anyone that I really agree with politically. I am all over the place, and most of my political opinions are fluid and change as I try to grow and become a better person.

I will give you an example.

You made several posts about the negative affects of the liberal influence has on college students, and in my opinion you were very aggressive and had a pretty strong negative opinion on the subject.

In a lot of ways I am a pretty conservative guy, but on this subject we are pretty far apart. My opinion has been influenced by having a son that went through the current college environment, and a daughter in law that just finished law school, and all the time I have spent with their peer group.

My take on everything you have posted in this thread is that it directly mimicks the Fox party line. Based on the limited knowledge that I have on your life it appears that you got your opinion from fox news.

    Just an honest observation.

    One a side note.

I have read all you political opinions that you have shared on this site, and although your opinions are more cerebral than the info wars retards on this site, they appear to me to be VERY influenced by right wing media.

This is generally what it looks like when one steps away from echo chambers and AM radio and charts their own moral course.

As far as preserving the integrity of the biosphere, apparently I'm a somewhere to the militant left of Antifa. As far as suppressing data and analytical output because it's unpleasant, I'm not. As far as curb stomping the sorts of people who would exploit others to support their lifestyles while living in total and willful indifference to the suffering they cause, apparently I'm a fascist.

A lot of this jibed well with something like anarcho-libertarianism before the young-republicans-who-realize-being-a-republican-is-for-total-herberts got involved and turned it into some sort of Hitler youth rally.

I am very concerned by the near violent divide between the left and the right, and believe that if don't find a way to find a core of common ground, things are going to deteriorate at an ugly rate.

I'm not concerned at all. Once the right's core starts to correlate their skyrocketing cancer rates, death-sentence medical costs, slave wages, and total lack of upwards mobility with the trickle-down economics scam their overlords have been pushing for decades, they will have bigger fish to fry than what bathroom transgenders are allowed to use.

You have to remember that most of the 'flash points' where there are clashes between right and left wing are either meaningless (fly over Jesus-people cities) or in areas where the right wing is intentionally provoking entrenched radical leftism (Berkeley so on). Domestic terrorists can raise all the hell they want in either of those arenas, none of that's really going to impact my ability to get a pizza delivered.

And lest we forget, the left and the right dont really need each other. The right wing isnt going to suffer terribly if the left stops letting it into furry conventions, so long as they dont mind living in squalor or working in subzero temperatures in transient oil rig camps. And the left isnt going to suffer terribly if the right's novelty pickup truck testicles export flow is interrupted, so long as they dont mind getting paid low 6 figures with full medical benefits writing AI to run the robots that will eventually take the right's jobs.

That free market is a bitch aint it.

And lest we forget, all these cities going green and augmenting their grid energy with literally wave, wind, and solar power? Yeah those are all 'left wing' initiatives and they only serve to further undercut the pillars of the right wing; the fossil fuel industries. Gonna be hard to spin it as a left wing attack on family values when there are literally zero buyers for oil and coal.

Seriously its a shame America isnt strong enough to survive just splitting into two nations. It would be like one of those divorces where both parties end up broke and the lawyers ride into the sunset on unicorns made of cash and glee.

I have empathy for the portion of the alt right that honestly have a decent heart, but not the ability to resist the constant brainwashing. I have a brother that used to be a very kind and honest soul, and I can only describe him now as a brainwashed zombie. I honestly don't hold any hope that he will someday wake up, but I will always care about his well being.
