I'm officially done with CNN.

Even though i'm more aligned with their politics than the other US news channels. I'm staggered at them practically refusing to report on any news which doesn't make Trump look bad.

It's not even like certain news stories would make him look good. They just don't make him look bad, so they fudge it.

I will say this. CNN is garbage. A news outlet who I share a similar political agenda with. Has now become unwatchable to me. That takes some doing.

But I have watched plenty of Fox News too. And they're the only English speaking news channel I have ever seen who peddle outright lies to its viewers on a consistent basis. Pretty much in the same way a British tabloid newspaper would. (The Sun - Express - Mail - Mirror - etc.)

why not? france canned 30k right wing accounts for "hate speech" before their election. scammers probably getting an early start suppressing 30k pro trump trolls. could be enough to influence 20k voters in Michigan next time.

I don't know the law in France but the government couldn't do such a thing here. Facebook could, but I'm not sure they should be allowed to. Mixed feelings on it. But it is legal.

The White House is worried that Trump’s tweeting could put the president in legal jeopardy so they are creating a plan to run all of his tweets through a team of lawyers before they can be published.

The Wall Street Journal reported:

One major change under consideration would vet the president’s social media posts through a team of lawyers, who would decide if any needed to be adjusted or curtailed. the washington post is reporting that US intelligence intercepted communications between the russian ambassador and the kremlin, in which the ambassador said that jared kushner wanted the russians to set up a secure line of communication between the trump team and moscow in russian diplomatic facilities located in the US, in order to prevent their communications from being monitored by US intelligence.

apparently the russians have been known to play games with us when they suspect they're being monitored, so this might never have occurred. it also makes jared just sound like a moron, so not sure what to think of this. hard to believe he would be this stupid, but i also have no idea why a 36-year old slum lord with no experience in anything other than real estate is the president's chief adviser. so maybe he is just that clueless.
