Regarding being over 40 and male, there are a lot of girls out there who prefer older men because the guys their age are so immature/terrible.

Mid-late 30s is absolute peak of having it all for a guy if he doesn't have horrible genetics. That's generally a guy's peak attractiveness to women of all ages. Not the gays. You get hot 22 year olds on one night stands and hot women your own age looking for more serious relationships.
