He even told her that he was constantly checking for warrants against him. This isn't a guy who wants to go back to prison.

He also knows deep down that getting fired from Uber was his own doing. He may not like it or agree with it, but it's not like he's going to deny to himself that he was making lewd comments to her, or that he thought Uber was cool with that.

He lost a part-time gig driving with Uber. No big deal. I'm sure this guy has been fired countless times by now from other jobs. Idiots like this see losing jobs as a way of life, and they just move on.

With that said, had she not taken the actions she did to get out of the car, she might have been raped, because she was there at the moment, and he felt like he was in control. There's a big difference between that situation than tracking someone down and raping them at their home, even if it can seem like the same crime from the outside. Most rape occurs due to the rapist perceiving opportunity, rather than it being premeditated.
