Bill Clinton got heckled for being a "draft dodger" for the entire campaign and his entire presidency. He did pull some strings to sort of enroll in ROTC at Arkansas, and then stayed another year at Oxford.

George W pulled strings to join the Texas Air National guard, didn't even show up for the last 2 years of his service, and Karl Rover turned him into a bigger war hero than John McCain or John Kerry, who got a fucking Silver Star.

Obama has the pretty solid excuse of being 12 years old when the draft ended.

The point is that Trump talks real big about sending other people to fight wars, but when his country actually asked him to serve, he had daddy slip a doctor a few hundred bucks.

That's a perfectly reasonable position. It's also not remotely a reason to not release his taxes, like every Presidential candidate for 50 years.
