Even if someone stole the football, it wouldn't accomplish anything. It's just a super-secure satellite phone to CENTCOM and NORAD. They're not going to follow launch orders from some random shmuck.
The launch codes themselves are on a card in the President and Vice President's suit pocket. And even if you stole that card, you still wouldn't know the launch codes. There are a bunch of codes on the card and only those guys know which position is the right one.

I don't want to get in trouble for providing factual information again, but what that retard was trying to tell you is that the codes are kept on a card called "the biscuit" that the POTUS and VPOTUS both carry. They both receive a new card daily and keep it on their person (not necessarily their suit jacket) and the card contains various codes and the POTUS/VPOTUS are told where the correct code will be located on the card.
So, even if you had the card, you would not know which code is correct. Beyond that, you would not know the protocol even if you knew the correct code to give them.
