I saw it called for cruz a little while ago and disturbingly for trump, cruz won the counties that were tailored made for trump (ie less socially conservative ones).

Seriously nothing speaks more loudly to the implosion of Trump than this. If Genghis Kahn was on the ticket, they would have voted for him instead of Trump.

And this was _exactly_ what I was talking about; people making a big double middle finger fuck you to the American political system until they have to actually do something that matters, at which point they turtle and wait for the ref to step in.

Did Cruz really win anything tho? He got 8500 total votes in the entire state. And he probly had like 1000 ppl working there harassing ppl. 8500 total for the winner? What kind of trash caucus was this to go to, do u have to stay there all day?

I can get over 30-1 on Cruz in Kentucky right now, but it still seems like a waste of $.

I don't think I've ever seen a candidate make up a 3.8 point deficit with 66% precincts reporting.

Imo, Trump needs Rubio to stay in. If he gets out I think a significant amount if not practically all of his voters jump to Cruz allowing him to close the overall gap on Trump.

In the early 2000s, I interviewed for an academic position at the U of Kansas, and the three interviewers effusively apologized for the troglodyte shenanigans that the evangelical Kansas pols were doing about education standards. And they promised that Manhattan, where the campus was located, was "normal".

Also, why would you say that Cruz winning Kansas was "[i]ntriguing" if you fully understood the religious nutjobbery of the state? Because he can't win beyond those states.
