I would like you to apply that logic to everyone that had the exact same amount of money that he had back then and tell me... How many people have that kind of money today? The actuality does not prove that pussy's premise. If it held up, Warren Buffett should be a trillionaire by now.

By any factor you can come up with, he still has 10 billion more dollars than you. You don't get to judge that kind of success because you have never even smelled one one millionth of it.
    (1) Do you have a reading comprehension problem? Forbes estimates Trump's net worth at about $4.1b, not the $10b figure Trump claims.

    (2) Warren Buffet's company, Berkshire Hathaways, has overwhelming outperformed the S&P 500 over the decades.

And even before the period covered in this article, Buffet was making money investing and scrapping out profitable with only his own savings from when he was a teenager from a middle class family. Not quite rags-to-riches, but totally shaming The Donald's *relatively* paltry record as a businessman.

It's much easier to make money when you inherit a whole bunch of it, and can afford to run a few companies into the ground and not have to worry about it......

He didnt even inherit it; his dad gave him 1m to invest in NYC real estate. Which in todays market would be like being handed 20m. You basically cannot not make a fortune in NYC real estate if someone hands you 20m to work with.

Sure if you invested in Microsoft stock at the IPO in 1986 and held on to it for 30 years you could have turned $1000 in to $500,000.

Or if you invested in Amazon stock at the IPO in 1997 and held on to it for 20 years you could have turned $1000 in to $250,000.

It's a hypothetical that no one would ever commit to.

Who said anything about using the performance of an *individual* stock as a benchmark for investing performance? Because I said a diversified portfolio of stocks. Which, while not a perfect benchmark, is an easy one to construct. And which is why the S&P 500 index is a go-to benchmark for a quick comparison on how well someone did with their investment choices versus the no-brainer alternative.

It's more complicated than that. The bankers knew Trump would inherit his father's estate, which implicitly helped him secure loans that he wouldn't have otherwise gotten.

Also, for comparison, Trump also performed poorly with his real estate deals versus a primary competitor in New York

Well, i guess Trump becoming President wouldn't be all bad

    http://www.inquisitr.com/2831385/al-...g-marco-rubio/

Al Sharpton Says He Is Making Plans To Leave U.S. If Donald Trump Becomes President, Open To Supporting Marco Rubio

Rev. Al Sharpton says he may be booking a one-way ticket out of the United States if businessman Donald Trump becomes president. Sharpton says he is open to supporting “anyone” with the exception of Trump, claiming that the business mogul would probably deport him anyway. Sharpton told attendees at the Center for American Progress Action Fund on Thursday that he is already reserving his “ticket to get out of here.”

The Washington Examiner reports that Reverend Al Sharpton had mostly positive feedback for Republican candidates like Marco Rubio until he got to the discussion of GOP candidate Donald Trump. Once “The Donald” was mentioned the conversation turned to Al Sharpton’s admittance that he would likely “get out of here” if Trump is elected to president. Sharpton notes that he would leave on his own accord before Trump has the chance to deport him.

“If Donald Trump is the nominee, I’m open to support anyone [else], while I’m also reserving my ticket to get out of here if he wins, only because he’d probably have me deported anyway.”

Therefore, it seems that Al Sharpton is open to supporting Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio, but is refusing to show even remote support for Trump. Though Sharpton claims that Trump would likely deport him if made president, he did not explain the statement any further. However, both Trump and Sharpton have publicly shared differing opinions on political issues in the past. While Sharpton spends his time at national protests condemning police brutality, Trump has been vocal about other controversial topics such as immigration and foreign policy.

but then you get the even DUMBER ones:

Raven-Symoné’s Moving to Canada If a Republican Is Nominated: ‘I Already Have My Ticket’

Raven-Symoné’s packing her bags — if the presidential election doesn’t turn out the way she wants, that is.

The View cohost spoke out on the ABC show on Thursday, February 25, sharing that her “confession for this election” is that “if any Republican gets nominated, I’m gonna move to Canada with my entire family."

Fellow cohost Joy Behar asked the often outspoken former Disney star if she was seriously considering the move.

“I already have my ticket,” she said. “I literally bought my ticket. I swear.”

Behar pointed out that Symoné may have a problem since she is in fact not a citizen of Canada, but The Cosby Show alum said that she’ll “figure that out.”

well, i guess she's moving for sure then, since this fucking braindead clown doesn't realize that a republican is being nominated no matter what.

I guess you can't expect much else from a "View" host.

Hopefully we hear a huge outflow of braindead libs leaving this country no matter what

When Trump built the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City for $1 Billion, he borrowed money at 14%. No wonder his casinos went bankrupt. New Jersey is also a shit-hole, even New Yorkers hate going there.

Listening to Trump speak, he uses the word "We" a lot.
    We will start winning.
We won't be pushed around anymore.

Rubio and Cruz keep saying "I" a lot.
I supported legislation that didn't get passed. I support illegal aliens.

Trump will win the Republican nomination, Rubio, Cruz, Kasich and Carson won't drop out until it's too late.

I'm not a hater of billionaires. Just rich blowhards who fuck over the small guy because he can, which Trump repeatedly did to construction contractors on his many properties (by slow paying them until they would settle for a lower amount).

And, BTW, I met John Templeton in the late 1990s at a finance conference. Don't know if he was a B-naire, but he revolutionized the investment management business. He was pretty old then, but still had more energy than most of the people in the room.
