If you put a gun to my head today and told me I had to pick a phone, I'm definitely going iphone 4s over the google nexus. I will 100% agree with you there. To me it comes down to the individual, what makes the iphone that much more appealing to you over something like that new EVO coming out in a weeks time?

Get the Iphone 4s. Get the MOBY Phone case/charger. It's a phone case that charges your phone for about three days of total use without plugging anything in after all full charges.

the point about skype video made me chuckle, a few months ago I was just chilling at home and my buddy was skype chatting me. I wasn't thinking anything of it because we talk fairly regularly but I noticed he had mentioned he wasn't at home but at the casino and wanted to test out the skype video. He wasn't on wifi but he skype called me and we sat there talking while he waited for a game. The shit literally blew my mind and that was basically the first time I thought oh I'm getting that phone forsure!

I'm pretty sure though that skype is only on verizon (not positive, didnt search it) but while using this blackberry I had to find a 3rd party skype program that only enabled chat for sprint. Even that app sucked balls, so I guess like I said it just comes down to what you want. I mean how often am I rocking skype video chat away from the computer? I don't know! I think I'd see myself at a poker table watching a game on vipbox.tv a helluva lot more.

Skype works with AT&T too. Not sure about your provider.

Sprint and yes, tested over 3g and wifi. Works obviously better with wifi but the voice works pretty good over 3g too.

a few apps do allow flash like photon and the program i previously mentioned in the thread, they aren't exactly great but will get the job done for you if need be.

my hysterical angst of not having a usable phone has pushed me into the void, tomorrow morning much to the satisfaction of druff and vwls I'll be picking up the 4s. US Customs seized the EVO at the border to check for patent issues apple has with HTC, I can no longer wait. It's not known how long the release date will be postponed and I just can't rock a phone that has to be plugged in any longer.

Plus I found some apps that you can use to work flash on the iphone which is basically my biggest beef with the phone, those who have iphones and want to stream sports from vipbox / frontrowsports just buy and download skyfire from the app store, it's only $2.99 and it is flash enabled.

Also I have 14 days from the point of activation to return / exchange the phone for a $35 restocking fee, so if the evo gets released inside this time I will definitely be taking that avenue.

With all of that being said, I kind of find it sickening that I'm being forced into getting an iphone when it's not really the phone I want at all because of apples ridiculous patent claim but I guess they just won another customer.

Time for a shower I guess ?

1 line (1 phone.. iPhone), Verizon. The USA+Canada 900 minute plan. apparently i went over by about 195 minutes.

usually my bill is about $150/month

USA+Canada 900 is 79.99
USA data is 29.99 (HAVE to pay this even tho i use ZERO of it because i am in Canada)
text package, global data, taxes and fees bring it to ~150/month USUALLY

somehow even tho i have the Canada plan I got charged an extra 280ish. dunno what to do. i called Verizon yesterday and they said they'd call me today at 10:30am but they obviously didnt call. I was also told a couple weeks ago that i could call other Verizon customers for free, now i find out that's not true since im in Canada.

should i cancel my credit card before they charge it in 2 weeks?

I dont care if they fuck my credit score cuz i do not borrow money and have 0 debt.

Can I go to jail if i dont pay? will some grizzly repo guys hunt me down?

would appreciate any advice. thanks

i AM using data on my phone.

Verizon is CDMA.

Canada is GSM. the data on my phone is basically $25/100MB while im in Canada because of this.

basically im paying for unlimited USA CDMA data that i wont be using (i have to pay for this--i've asked them a millino times, they said the only way to get rid of this is to switch to a dumb phone), and also paying for Canada GSM data.

other problem with getting rid of my unlimited data plan is that Verizon doesnt offer unlimited data anymore and if i go off the plan i cant get back on. but 1 of my friends says its not really unlmited--that if you use the shit out of your data they'll start to either throttle u or limit it or something.

i figured out why i got charged so much. basically i got an extra $200 on my bill all from 3 days in May when i was still in Mexico. somebody conveniently backdated my plan to a USA plan so i got charged $1/minute for May29-31. they're removing those charges now, and i still got charged for going over my minutes in Canada (~$63 for a couple hours), but it looks like my monthly bill will be closer to 235 than 430. still getting raped tho

Same here, but mine is because its a corporate plan. Unlimited data, text, and personal Wifi hotspot. I also have upgraded my cloud storage to 100GB. My bill (well actually the companies bill) is $96/month with all taxes and fees included.

I use my phone as a wifi hotspot and thats how I run my iPad away from home so I dont have to pay for that service either. I send and receive literally 2500-3000 texts per month. I constantly am streaming videos, games, downloading music, etc and I never once have ever received a bill for more than $96.

I also convinced work to buy me the Apple TV box as I occassionally (as in maybe once or twice ever) will stream a presentation from the iPad to a larger TV in the conference room. When not in use at work I use the box at home. TY work for the free iPhone 4s with unlimited everything, free iPad data usage, and free Apple TV box!
