When you say you are going into a break even business does that include your salary?

I'm not gonna lie. I'm genuinely excited for you buying this business. I remember what I felt like when I first bought the business I am in now. Exciting times for you. Honestly I glad I don't have to do it again.....it's been a long and quick ten years if you know what I mean. Time flies.

    Thanks pooh,

The hardest thing is I'm so anxious about everything. So many thoughts ideas but can only do so much for so fast.

Right now I'm just walking around the hood, drinking a coffee and chain smoking Marlborough.

If I can get this too work out???

I am telling you, try my recipe, think big and earn big:

I would suggest a "chicken wing pizza", its something I invented and poised to take off. On your pie, instead of tomato sauce you put hot wing sauce, then put a MIXTURE of mozzarella and bleu cheese on top, and as your topping chicken wing meat. Add a cup or ranch as a side dunking sauce and my friend you have a winner. You could easily get $17.95 for a medium, that I am sure.

Another funny similarity is I purchased my business for roughly the same amount you did give or take a few thousand. Completely different fields but still.

Bro, his customers are 95% n-words. A pizza with watermelon for a topping would sell better.

Nothing original.....virtually every pizza place including the chains now sell a "buffalo wing pizza"

Sparten I recommend going to the Pizza Expo in March. It's a huge tradeshow, lots of marketing, product ideas, a lot of fun too.

Can u state the type of business without exposing yourself...

I'm going to hang with Mr. And Mrs dysfunctional for another week and close..

It's annoying just being there with them. Even the workers snicker at them..

I'm projecting a little more in food cost and labor as well as general operation expenditure,s will go up but I will increase volume just by being here never mind all the micro changes...

I'm projecting after reinvesting every dollar and working the next 180days for absolutely nothing and spending 72k in purchase and another 10/ 15 k in upgrades that my net profit and salary combined will be 3k a month in about 6 months..
That's one plateau. And then I'll take it from there.

Why with you being there will volume go up? Also, if you bought the place why do the sellers need to be there at all?

I didn't buy the place yet. We did agree on.price but found anomalies in.purchases and sales..AS STATED IN EARLIER POST..

I am working along side them in all facets of buisness..

In private sales of cash businesses it's very common to hang out for a couple of weeks to watch the register ring and the customers and how the store runs...

It's also smart to pick up a few things before I sign on the dotted line. In essence there teaching me how to be a pizza man without realizing that there teaching me!!!!

YOU ARE SUCH A FISH IN MY WORLD...

U can show me all the pieces of paper that says the store grosses 4k a week. If I didn't see it it didn't happen.

So basically you are insecure. If you need the current owners to hold your fucking hand, then you are not ready to be an owner pal. If I bought that place, those fucking people would be gone. You really don't know what the fuck you are doing do you? Its fucking pizza man, you spin the pie lay down some sauce and toss it in the oven.

May I help you? Ok, double cheese with sausage, anything else? ITS NOT THAT HARD DUDE. Tell those fucking people to hit the street. Having them train you, LOL, get some pride man.

What's the end game here? I can't believe owning a pizza joint in the ghetto is your dream business. Grow the business through better management and a higher quality product then sell and buy a business more in your wheel house or haven't you gotten that far? I'm sure you've thought about it though.

I'm not going to say what I do however when I started I didn't enjoy it much and figured I just wanted to get ahead a little then sell and buy a car wash, self-storage, laundromat or dry cleaners. Actually looked into getting a gas station in the beginning. Recently looked into buying a Fed Ex route or even a bread route. Yet after ten years here I am still doing the same shit. Decided to keep doing what I know.

HOWEVER, for those out there reading this who have a little money and hate what they do definitely look into FedEx or other routes. Pretty decent money in it. Getting time off is the main drawback however you can pay someone to fill in.

We'll see. I do agree, an active owner makes a big difference in quality and profits. The question is do you have the stamina to sustain it? Most owners get lazy and start coming in late, leaving early and drinking on the job. And lets face facts, if the current owners were making decent money, they would not have sold it to you. Personally, since you have not bought it yet, I would not show up tomorrow and get the hell out of town. This place you are buying sounds like a shithole. A pizza place on the wrong side of town, not a good idea. Like I said, if it were making money they are not selling it.

Il be totally honest just trying to earn a living without answering to a boss if I can take a cigarette break. And cash businesses have there rewards...

I know so many people that would start a business then make it grow and sell and.move on..

If the place was making 8k a month clean then I could sell for at least triple my money hands down..

But there is nothing like making cash daily every daily..Lol

The richest Greeks and happiest I've seen are the ones that have one place that have been making them profit for years and they generally just buy and hold in everything they do..

If I.could get this place to 6k clean a month a running itself I would be very satisfied..

I would rent out my apartment in my house. Collect both rents and buy a condo were the rents pay it off for me..

All doable. Don't want to be rich just very self sufficient and happy and smoking a lot of weed, playing micro tournament,s and banging college Asian chicks embarrassingly too young .

It's in Vegas and I am going. Is this place take out / delivery only? If no POS, make sure you use numbered ticket books, make sure all tickets are accounted for and keep an exact count on boxes vs pizzas sold. The easiest way to determine if some theft is going on. The most common is a closing key holder and a driver in cahoots...take deliveries and just write info on a piece of scrap paper and split the proceeds. Buy a portion scale and mandate that cooks weigh out toppings during non-peak hours....it will get them used to using the right amount when making pies during the peak.
