You are perfectly free to tell him that yourself. You should want to protect police as much as possible...they are there to save your dumb, ignorant ass on a daily basis, with little need for as much as a Thank You. In terms of weapons, it depends on what is allowed. They get standard issued stuff. Im sure that in some cases, they would want specific weapons depending on trends in their area. In Mayberry, maybe you only need a gun and cuffs. In Chicago, they probably wish they were armed with shit from Call of Duty, so they could just reach back and pull from an unlimited arsenal of weapons, depending on what would be suitable for the scenario...they dont have that luxury.
Keep on insulting them and protesting them....Im sure thats a GREAT WAY to ensure that you will get TOP QUALITY recruits in the future who want to get shit on by their own leaders, spit at, yelled at from a few inches from their face, have their rights violated, their contracts fucked with and ignored, the media trash them. THEN, when you need a cop to save you, do you think you are getting the cream of the crop?....have fun with that when that time comes.
