Hopefully the vision will slowly correct over time and TheTemplar doesnt have other issues with that same side. Slurred speech, droopy face, etc are obviously tell tale signs of a stroke victim.
As much as I hate to agree with this fag, that is what isn't adding up. Blind in one eye yet able to type and function on a computer? If a stroke is that severe to cause blindness, there is no way he is just typing away as usual.

Color me skeptical, as I have been for a while about a lot of things with this guy.

Sounds to me like it could have been brought on by an overdose...

I had an ex girlfriend who had a mini stroke in her sleep at 28, 10 years later and she is perfectly healthy.

This sucks balls for you Templar but hope you have a speedy recovery mate.

How was a "crisis averted" if he is blind in one eye now?

Depends on where the stroke hits. If it hit whatever area of the brain that deals with vision (I could look this up but I'm lazy) it could easily make you blind in one or both eyes, even if it's not permanent and you regain some sight. Stroke's all depend on how fast you get to the person, since he was at a public baseball game I'll assume he was treated fairly quickly and hopefully can make a full recovery

It's a good idea for higher risk people to carry aspirin with you and take a couple if you feel something coming on.

I TRY to only post in thread that I have a baseline knowledge of. But I had a friend whose husband got hit with one and he was in the bushes outside one of the places he cleaned at night for hours, now he's wheelchair bound and can barely talk. Had a relative who wasn't feeling good and literally had it right at the entrance to the emergency room, a month later you wouldn't even know anything happened to him.

My Dad lost the sight in one eye from a childhood illness. He can do anything anyone with two eyes can do, and only needed glasses when he was in his 50s.

To suggest you can't use a computer with only one eye is crazy.

    Get well soon Templar.

I called the Hospital Templar said he was at and asked for him by his real name and they connected me to him right away and we spoke for a while. My "crisis averted" comment was a joke about the $20.00 rolling... He seemed to be in good spirits etc... I busted his balls a bit and we chit chatted some. All was legit.

Oh and he is 29 and it was very mild, should be home tonight

    Jesus,
Templar, that's horrible news, I am really sorry to hear this.
Best Wishes for a speedy recovery.
