My family has a business that is 4 generations deep. This thing is chopped up nine ways to Sunday and everyone is committed to carrying on some kind of legacy. The thing is struggling and I got called in.

Personally, I'd like to level the whole thing and build condominiums and be done with it but that ain't happening.

I love confrontation and a good argument. I am already not happy to be there so I have built an environment where everyone wants me dead. So going to work each day is a true blessing.

Nothing worse than working with your family. Collectively, we have had divorces and relationship therapy sessions. Good times.

I still get to bag a day here and there so I still get my gamble on when things are juicy.

Pooh, I hope someday you have to work. But life ain't fair.

I have posted a lot over the past 2 years about how I felt the casino industry as we know it is over.

Median age of casino slot player is around 50.

Casinos are too numerous and individually too big.

Casino industry is run by idiots. The reasons are endless.

I am still waiting for those implosions in Atlantic City.

Yeah, the story today is the theft in Macau. Argument being made that the loss was not $258 million but maybe $13 million. This is just a catalyst in an overall downtrend. Not one gambling stock was positive today. Even online gaming sucked.

    $240---> $60 GG

So I am actually looking for a bounce and short covering. Too many on the same side. Time for some people to get hurt.

Gonna watch it here and look for confirmation. I'll give up a little - I won't try to nail the bottom - there will be a decent move if I am right. If this thing settles down here and bases/loses volatility I may just gamble with some near term options and see what happens for a swing. Intraday I am leaning long.

It's how much my holdings went down today. I didn't sell. I prefer burning my own money.

The gap between the haves and the have nots is narrowing, Pooh.

There is no way a normal white guy would find MLPL on their own.

There is a story behind choosing these yields on steroids. Either some guy with a burner phone and still wet business card promised you the world or you got a Dan Bilzerian lifestyle to support. Either way, it's interesting.

You know the next stop is 15,000, right?

You're the yield guy. The spread between coprporates and treasuries is widening. People are running for safety. Never a good sign.

But I'm no genius either. I write paragraphs about why Wynn sucks but I am waiting for a setup to go long. Meanwhile, it craters 10% since my last post. 10% in couple days. Now that a yield you can get behind.

PokerStars, Caesars, Wynn they all are drilling for oil.

I am pissing myself that Steve Wynn is talking about limiting max odds on craps tables when his business is imploding. $240-$54 in 2 years. He's a bigger loser than the degens at the roulette tables in his joint.

Wife just got back from a weekend at Foxwoods with her friends. She tells me Sunday she had her choice of $5 blackjack tables. That tells you something about the casino economy. She pissed away her roll anyway so that tells you something about my economy too.

TSLA earnings Tues. 26% or so short interest. Pretty massive. Yada yada the chart......

I am messing around with some calls Nov Calls around the current price. TSLAK27153217500. Around $10. I have been in and out during the day. It's done well.

Gonna hold some during earnings announcement.

This is a short squeeze play.

So TSLA lost less money than expected. Lol, fundamentals.

TSLA up about $25 after hours. Elon Musk spinning his PT Barnum act. He's good. Wish I could cash options after hours while all the pheromones are in the air.

Dreaming of a smooth triple on the options.

I pulled most of my money out mid summer because I thought we would have lower lows. Monday AM I got most of my money back working (almost all SPY) because I think we are more likely to see higher highs.

To be in cash now or invested at these levels. First paragraph of this article using poker discipline as a lesson for trading. You see this a lot. I am posting just because it was recently written and is apropos of your bet.

Cash is second & third level thinking.

    http://realmoney.thestreet.com/artic...820.1446602478

    Why Cash Will Be King

In many disciplines, you'll find individuals who are referred to as first-level thinkers, second-level thinkers and even third-level thinkers. The game of poker provides a good illustration of all these levels. A first-level thinker only considers the strength of the cards while playing. A second-level thinker considers the game in relation to the possible hands opponents may have. The third-level operator thinks about their hand, their opponents' hands and what opponents believe other players to be holding.

Guess which type of thinker tends to win, and which one is the fish?

Investing also has various levels of intellectual thinking that often separate the average from the above average. How cash is considered provides a worthy example.

Cash is a terrible investment right now. It earns zero percent nominally but actually loses purchasing power value over time if returns are zero. That line of thinking is correct, but is a first-level thinking process because under this logic, cash should be put to work in stocks, bonds or other assets that promise a better rate of return.

But a second-level thinker sees the value in cash in terms of tomorrow, not today. There is an opportunity cost of holding cash when it earns nothing while other asset prices are going up, says the first-level thinker. The second-level thinker, however, understands that there is a greater opportunity cost by not having cash when asset prices decline.

In the current market environment, having an abundance of cash will prove very lucrative in a year or so. If you consider the best of the best investors -- Warren Buffett, Seth Klarman, Carl Icahn -- they are never without access to dry powder.

With the Federal Reserve's finger itching to push the interest-rate button, volatile oil prices, stretched asset valuations and companies gorging on acquisitions seemingly at any price, having cash ready is going to separate mediocre returns from outperforming returns.

Now is the time to decide which camp you will fall in.

More like sold SPY at $210 in July.

Felt like the smartest man in the world when it hit $190.

    Rebought on Monday at $208.
