Because he didnt fucking die because he didnt have a front plate.

If I run out of sugar, and have to walk to the store, and on the way to the store, I get run over by a car and die, did I fucking die because I ran out of sugar? No, I died because I was hit by a car and my internal organs stopped working. You dont die from buying sugar.

The cop didnt just approach his car and say, "Sir, you dont have a front plate", pull out a gun and shoot the guy. You may as well argue that the person, who wrote the law about front plates, killed the guy, because had it not been for that law, he would not have been pulled over for breaking said law.

This cop appears to be a mess.

Ray Tensing, the former University of Cincinnati police officer accused of murder for shooting to death an unarmed motorist, had been an Ohio State trooper but walked off the job after one day, according to a new report.

Tensing reported to the Ohio State Highway Patrol's 26-week academy in 2013, but quit because he "couldn't adapt to the training environment," said patrol spokesman Sgt. Vincent Shirley, according to a Thursday report in The Enquirer.

still love ya, 4D, but you have to be careful with the path of logic in these situations. Im biased because of the stories I hear from my brother, who is a cop, but in the end, laws and facts trump anything I personally think about these situations. This cop, IMO, fucked up badly.

In that previous other case in NYC, the cops were fine and handled things appropriately. You can always play the "but they could have done it THIS way", but everything they did, under those circumstances (from what I remember), was legal and fine. They didnt choke him to death. He was a fat ass with health conditions, and they restrained him according to what they were allowed to do (dont like they law on this, petition to have it changed) and the guy died from other conditions. You could therefore use your logic here to say, Had he listened to police, he would be alive, instead of, "they killed him because he was selling a cigarette".

    Follow laws.

It is. I know at the time of that story, I spoke with two officers who even told me the name of the hold that the NYC guy was put into (its not a choke hold...his air was not restricted that much...the windpipe isnt touched, the chin is pushed and the head is meant to be rotated to the side by putting pressure on it). I believe that they did everything by the book, or within the gray areas of the law. The guy was a felon who broke laws.

I have very little memories of this because frankly, I just dont give a shit. I stopped caring about a week after the story showed up. I cant remember what I had for breakfast Wednesday either. Its not important to me.

If they did everything by the book, they wouldn't have paid out $5.9m blood money.

I dont know anything about that. Im running errands and heading to Lollapalooza, so if you want to look up and post some facts about what they did to him, what happened to cause them to allegedly pay out that money, why they paid out the money, the court evidence, etc, Id be happy to take a look when I can. Im just telling you my opinion based on the facts that came out at that time. Like I said, I dont care, so I have paid zero attention to this since a week or so after the shit went down.

Also, if anyone would like to let me CHOKE them, and they are able to YELL OUT, "I CANT BREATHE", I will leave an open invitation for you and pay you some cash if you can blurt that out. If I put you in that restraint hold, you can pretty much get your vocals going at 80% or so. Sorry the dude was so fat that he cant speak. Its his problem. He still managed to get the words out.

Otherwise, Im going to stand firm on my statement that he wasnt in a CHOKE hold, was able to breathe (as much as a morbidly obese man with a heart condition can), he broke the law, he resisted, he was taken down by multiple officers (to reduce the chance of anyone getting injured) and it was unfortunate that he died.

I am not aware of any laws that state that they cannot place him in that hold. If there are, please show me and I will eat crow. My memory thinks that there may have been something stated that said that they didnt want them doing that hold, but nothing stating that it was illegal for them to do it. If the cops just rushed him and didnt give him time to put his hands behind his back, they should be punished. They gave him every opportunity and he was not going to follow their commands. He resisted. Do you want them to put an air mattress down first, so he doesnt hurt his belly as they take him down? His lawyer would probably sue the mattress company when it bursts. Should they toss flowers to him and kiss his ass? You tell me what they should have done...now realize that things move fast.

If they lost in court, hey, they lost in court. A jury must have claimed that they believe that the cops killed him. Dont know. Would not be totally surprised. I have people in my facebook feed that will convict every cop they see for anything at all. Some people think that the law is stupid and no one should follow it (forgetting completely that it exists, and until it doesnt, you have to follow it, you cant just say, "No, I wont because its ghey".).

Gallo and I were actually discussing it over lunch the other day.

Actually, Im not even sure what we are discussing at this point, but if its the cop that blew the guys face off, Im definitely saying he is guilty and fucked up. Im trying to just figure out why he did what he did. I cant tell in the video if he legitimately got his arm or clothes stuck in the car. Even if he did, he shouldnt have shot him.

I just cant tell whats going on at that split second when the camera goes all crazy. Do you guys think Im trying to make an argument for the cop shooting him?

Not me. I was just pointing out that this was so obv a cold blooded murder that wanting to see more evidence to draw the obv conclusion was homering it up.

Dude just wanted to kill a black man that day and somehow his pea brain told him he'd get away with it. TBH it's extremely puzzling to me too considering it was all on video.

My best guess is he wasn't used to having a body camera on and forgot about it. Possible this department recently started making officers wear it. This dude while kind of not thinking forgot about having it on and snap decided to kill the black dude cause he was getting on his fucking nerves.

Also I'm not even wanting to look towards my sites that tell me it's either all for show to divide and conquer as always, but these days the major story is how local police are being made to look horrible to make the ushering in of foreign UN troops and police palatable to the masses.

    Vegas,

Personally, I dont think race had anything to do with it. I think the guy was just a poorly trained officer, and was very nervous. He was probably a bit skittish because the guy was acting a bit odd, and once the guy didnt listen, handed him a bottle of booze (car freshner?) and didnt give him the info he needed, the cop has to take all that in and decide how severe the situation is. The cop tried to open the door (dont know the law on if he can forcibly open it or not, and at that point in the video, everything starts getting blurred. I was just wondering what happened right there to cause the cop to completely lose his composure and determine that the guy was a significant threat to his life. It was completely shitty behavior on the cops part, and he displayed extremely poor judgment, and took a guys life.

Had there been some extreme case of something happening during the door opening sequence, it may have caused me to think he had to defend himself from a weapon or the guy doing something to him, but with what I saw, the cop IMO completely fucked up.

Im not even sure what Gallo was referring to because YES, Im biased, but in these cases, I think I have taken all bias out of the equation and used logic and law. Others are using emotion and bias. Take those out and use facts to determine what happened.

People can argue that they dont think the TX woman should have had to put out her cigarette. They will say "Its her car, she can do what she wants. He has no right to tell her to put it out". Well, that would be wrong, because the officer can ask her to put it out. Its a right that the cop has, because that cig can be used as a weapon (its lit...fire, and all that. Burns). Its not bias on my part. She should have listened. Oh, you think that law sucks?....ok. Try and change it then, because right now, its a law you must follow. Its really simple. Again, no bias on my part playing into any of this when it comes down to laws and facts. Could the cop have handled things with her better?...OF COURSE he could have. Keep in mind, he is human, and any one of us from a human standpoint, would start to get a bit ticked off if someone started being a smartass to you while you are trying to do your job. I sure as shit wouldnt put up with that, and if I had the ability to use my rights to get back at her, I think I would.

Have YOU gone to work every day at the top of your game, feeling like a million bucks, or are there days where you just get pissed off at the slightest things? People are human. I dont think he broke any laws, but yes, he could have handled that better. She was also an argumentative bitch to him and didnt obey. She was the law breaker. She was arguing. She didnt comply......and you want to bitch at the cop?!
