On the flip side, and I mean no offense by this, but Wisconsinite's are notorious for being the worst tippers in the US. It's a weird phenomenon that pretty much anyone involved in the service industry in a touristy area of the US will tell you. Usually super nice people and at the same time horrible tippers. I've always figured it was par for the course out there based on the low cost of living.
