Does Manning deserve to win of course but do the votes really say what happened on the field? Not even close. I dont think you should get bonus points for coming back from an injury or changing teams. Although its amazing what he had to overcome its not fair to punish Brady and Rodgers for not getting hurt and for not getting cut by their team.
So as Im looking up qb stats. I find a real important one not for this year, but for their Legacys. I would put manning ahead of Brady and wouldnt argue him being the greatest qb ever. I just assumed even though Manning has only 1 Super Bowl I figured he was really good in the playoffs. I was wrong.
Brady 16-6 in the playoffs
Manning 9-10
Thats pretty shocking to me and makes me realize how much I underestimated Brady or maybe overestimated Manning. When its all said and done playoff wins and Super Bowls rings are what defines a QB, and its not even close.
Brady had an immensely better defense and much better coach for most of those playoff games.
I always thought that Dungy was a mediocre coach. His quiet calmness is not what you need in the playoffs. He approached playoff games like regular season games, running the exact same plays that the opponents had a season full of film on.
Some of Bellichick's defense gameplans against the Colts were works of art, and I say that as someone who hates Bellichick. Sean Payton's offense gameplay in that Super Bowl was fantastic. The surprise onside kick was a huge gamble, that swung the entire game.
You can measure defenses with numbers. The year that the Colts won the Super Bowl, their running defense was among the worst in the history of the NFL.

They allowed 440 more yards than the #2 team, the same margin between second and 18th. The only way they could win was by getting ahead on the scoreboard and forcing the other team to pass.

Its like GB last year they play quick tempo offense which puts your defense on the field alot more. Plus there ahead alot so alot of yards they give are garbage yards. I wasnt meaning that anyways. I'm saying when you compare 2 qbs legacy you cant say well Tom Brady may have alot more wins but he had better teams. Its meaningless all that matters is wins and losses and Manning is now 9-11 in the playoffs, and the year he won the superbowl he was 4-0, so besides 1 great year he has 5 playoff wins and 11 losses. Bradys numbers crush his.

Dont you have kids man? I swear this site has the most grown ass people acting like there still 16.
Take the gun out of your mouth Shady, no shame in losing to a superior foe.
Its just like I told my son when he was traveling the country playing soccer I'm always ok when the better teams wins no matter who it is. Last year Gb lost to a worse team this year they lost to a better team. To have a chance to beat SF they needed to be at home. They were on there 5th running back who was selling cars halfway through the season. The lost there best 2 mlbs. Losing Perry at outside lb was a huge loss because his backup is horrible. Pretty much everyone except Rodgers was hurt at sometime throughout the year.
Its 10-0 Atl. Seattle has them right where they want them. Now all they need to happen is Ryan to tear his acl and there good.
