These haven't been announced yet, what is your source?

Green Bay - The Green Bay Packers have never had a cornerback selected to the National Football League all-rookie team.

    Well, they do now.

Casey Hayward, the smooth ball-hawk from Vanderbilt, broke the 39-year drought by being named to the NFL's only all-rookie team as selected by Pro Football Weekly and the Pro Football Writers of America.

"That's a great honor," Hayward said Tuesday. "I want to thank everybody who voted me on there. There were a lot of deserving guys. That's a big award, I feel like."

Hayward led all rookie defensive backs in interceptions with six. He started six games at right cornerback for an injured Sam Shields and was the nickel back in nine other games.

"I definitely played to my ability," said Hayward. "They drafted me in the second round. They thought I could do some of the things I have done. I feel like I did get better. Hopefully, I can continue to grow."

Hayward and Janoris Jenkins of St. Louis were the two all-rookie cornerbacks. In April, Jenkins was the fourth cornerback drafted and Hayward was the fifth.

The Packers have selected 10 other cornerbacks in the first two rounds of the draft since 1974, which was the first year of the all-rookie team.

However, in 1972, Green Bay cornerback Willie Buchanon was named NFL defensive rookie of the year after intercepting four passes.

Linebacker Luke Kuechly of Carolina was named top defensive rookie this season. The offensive and overall rookie of the year was quarterback Robert Griffin III of Washington.

I dont think there really is an official one. They talked about it alot last year when Rodgers won the MVP there really is no official MVP award.

On a side note you should always post from your bottomset account.

Set, this thread began on September 26th, 2010 and has survived through two 7-9 seasons, the demise of tydepoker, tydenation, venompoker, tydepoker 2 and donkdown.

Regardless of what happens on Sunday, the thread will carry on.

I don't think so. 5pm Sunday, this thread will lurk into the archives, wounded and defeated. The only success story to ever come out of Seattle is Kurt Cobain. Give me regards to Milton Bradley, btw.

Kurt Cobain didn't come out of Seattle, so technically Seattle has 0 success stories.

And Kurt Cobain isn't exactly a success story.

Anyone who has actually been to Aberdeen WA understands why Cobain suffered from depression.

An absolute shithole. You don't drive to Aberdeen, you drive through it. Had the unpleasant experience of living there for a few months in the early 90's. If the state of Washington was represented by a human body, Aberdeen would be it's nutsack.

Is this the town where Sly Stallone rambled through in the original First Blood?

It was filmed in British Columbia, but set in fictional Hope, WA which could be any number of back asswards burgs in southwest WA.

Proving what a farce the pro bowl voting was this year, Richard Sherman was named first team All-Pro along with Marshawn Lynch, center Max Unger and free safety Earl Thomas.

Its no secret that all-pro is a better system then the Pro Bowl voting, but I wonder if you would post thats its a farce if more Seahwaks were on the Pro Bowl team then the All Pro. Theres not a unbiased bone in your body.

I can argue that Rodgers has better numbers then Manning on a worse team with a ragtag line, but Manning winning Im ok with but Rodgers getting only 4 votes is a joke considering he again had the highest qb rating in the league a better td/int ratio.
