The killers dad just saved 24k a month. I mean fuck thats just alimony how much can the guy make.
they are not hard news programs or truth shows they are entertainment shows with topics on current events, some people actually get their news from Jon Stewart or Steven Colbert, it's a free country, if you don't like it change the channel, even if O'Reilly gets canceled tommorow he will sleep well at night with his just completed estimated $40-50 million 4 year contract and Bill just signed a new multi year deal to continue to do The O’Reilly Factor the number one program in cable news over the last 10 years
O'reilly gives all the profits from his books, sold thru his website to Charity
Difference is foxnews was always shit and biased as hell. CNN was pretty accurate for the most part back when it rose to prominence during the first gulf war (and generally was for the following 10 years). I don't watch cnn nearly as much anymore and this is one of the reasons. Mainstream media in the usa is pretty awful and feel sorry for you guys for having to put up with it.
People used to watch the news to learn something not to have their opinions confirmed by blow hards. But I guess people feel more secure having their beleifs confirmed rather than challenged. Who gives a fuck if O'Reilly or Morgan give their money to charity it still doesn;t change the fact that I'm losing brain cells watching their programming.
As long as there is a power structure and a payoff system in place that is controlled by corporations getting special treatment or avoiding punitive legislation by the government, there will be bias in newscasting from whatever side you get it from. If you don't sell soap, you don't get airtime and nobody hears your voice. The other option is government controlled media where you hear one side of a story and denials of anything else happened. Oddly enough until the internet, our US News agencies acted like they created reality, because without 3rd party opinion, they did.
You seem like a reasonable person so I was confused when you wrote, "foxnews was always shit and biased as hell". That statement is absurdly untruthful and patently unfair.
Don't confuse opinion shows like "Hannity" with the FOX NEWS' hard news daily program "Special Report With Bret Baier". I have watched ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC. None of those networks have a nightly news program that even comes close to the professional, unbiased reporting found on "Special Report With Bret Baier". Liberals, conservatives and all those in between enjoy Bret Baier's news broadcast.
"Shit and bias" is standard fare on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC.
The opinion shows on CNN and MSNBC are laughably biased. Those left wing Democrats and Socialists like Rev. Al, Piers Morgan, Lawrence O'Donnell, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Ed Shultz, et al. spew all the vile hate, hypocrisy, racism and Moonbat pablum a naive, clueless person could desire. Watch all you want.
"Hannity" has a conservative bias but that's his show. If you don't like it, don't watch it.
"The O'Reilly Factor" and "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren", although editorial news and entertainment programs, display little or no bias. All viewpoints are welcome on those shows. Both are excellent programs.
So many buy in to the FOX NEWS Channel hatred without regularly watching the network. Watch it. You will discover that it is far and above the best network in that genre.
I watched approximately 2 minutes of O'Reilly Factor tonight. He had a segment with Alan Colmes (liberal) and Monica Crowley (conservative).
Guess which person O'Reilly interrupted and belittled multiple times? How that show masquerades as neutral is disgraceful. Don't be stupid..
Tight sweater though..
