LOL... Damnit. Hey, if my misuse of certain words that I don't use regularly, or the wagering of misuses of words that are used regularly and the rollings that ensue are entertaining to this board, then I don't mind looking like a fool once in a while

What we have here today is a random act of violence. Schools are still safe places for kids, roads are still safe places to drive. Air travel is still very safe. Of course it is sad - and as fellow humans we feel the pain - kind of like feeling the "force". I have 4 kids and one was in school today as well. Life goes on and nothing can be done to prevent random acts. Kinda like getting rivered by a one-outer. What is avoidable and seemingly irresistable is how these incidents then get used by politicians and their MSM partners to further agendas. You will hear talk about for and against gun control etc. attempting to capitalize on emotion instead of rational thinking. Over in Afghanistan, our soldiers are killed not by guns but by IEDs produced with common materials and detonated from a distance using cell phones. Today's killer obviously planned this ahead. You can take away all the guns if you like but you cannot take away random acts of violence. Think freely. Don't just be lead around by the MSM. Think back to the Oklahoma City bombing ... The Oklahoma blast claimed 168 lives, including 19 children under the age of 6.

Retailer of assault rifles: Yes sir, what can I do for you today?

Psychokiller or President of USA: I'd like to buy one of those neato Rambo guns.

Retailer of assault rifles: Ugh, by Rambo guns, do you mean assault rifles?

Pyschokiller or President of USA: Yeah, that's right, assault rifle.

Retailer of assault rifles: Alrighty then, what were you planning on doing with the assault rifle?

Psychokiller or President of USA: Ummmmm, well, you know, personal protection kinda thing.

Retailer of assault rifles: Very good sir, lets look at a couple of lovely models then shall we.

I was about 10 miles away when the OKC blast happened. My entire elementary school shook for about 1 minute straight. I had no clue what happened until we were all sent home. I knew people that were killed and/or hurt by that attack. I also went down there with my mom and dad shortly after it happened because they were both helping out. I remember seeing the devastation and it is a vision that will stay with me forever.
I get frustrated when others say that people die everyday so tragedies like the bombing and today are just par for the course and don't resonate with them. I understand where they are coming from, but if you are ever put in a position where a tragedy such as this hits your town I think you would understand better why people get emotional over an entire classroom of children being slaughtered and not care as deeply about people eating themselves to death or getting lung cancer from smoking.

I don't think it is fair to bring up Oklahoma City. Not every mental case can build and explode a bomb that blows off half of a large building. The same psycho can easily grab a assault riffle and blow a bunch of people away without much skill. There is also a lot of forethought that goes into a bombing which eliminates the psycho have a bad week and acting out with a gun.

I think we are going to hear some more strange stuff. Some things don't add up. On another site they listed the teachers and administrators and Ryan was not listed. Is she part time?

The gun situation is also weird. Fox was reporting the guns are registered to his mother. How many females(and kindergarten teachers) own a Bushmaster .223? Did she register the weapons that her kids wanted? It would make more sense if the weapon was registered to their father.

A Bushmaster .223 was the preferred murder weapon used by the Beltway Sniper.

A crazy asshole killed a bunch of kids. That's it. The gun didn't do it. His mom didn't do it. Neither did his brother. Save all you anti gun bullshit. A gun has never killed anyone before. It's a piece of metal. And whether you want to accept this or not, banning guns won't achieve one fucking thing. You know why? CRIMINALS DON'T FOLLOW LAWS. Do you plan on confiscating every single gun in existence? Good luck with that. Dumbshit.

Criminals don't follow laws and they don't find any profit in wiping out classrooms of small children. You said you were a parent? And you come out with this diarrhea?

Time to take action of some sort and restricting the sale of assault rifles is the least a government could do to protect a largely ignorant populace from itself. Agree?

Obama just got a new four years. If he doesn't come out with a ban on these weapons then you are in deeper than I thought

Not the best choice if you are going to shoot people at long distances imo. I would think that short of having an actual sniper rifle that he would have used a 30-06, 308, or rem .270 deer rifle.

AP reports that the assault rifle was recovered from the car. Only the two handguns were recovered inside the school.

There are probably 100,000,000 guns out there in USA. To suggest gun control will prevent something like this is pretty absurd.

The 2nd Amendment is not responsible for this. Although I am sure some impressionable left leaning faggot will post some Huffington Post blog authenticating his position.

Interesting Chinese article on this matter:

    http://shanghaiist.com/2012/12/15/th...hinese_sch.php

On December 14th 2012, two schools on different sides of the world were attacked by men wielding weapons. In one, 22 children were injured but none died; in the other, 27 young boys and girls were killed*. The difference? The second killer had a gun, the first didn't.
A spate of attacks on schools in China began in March 2010 and carried on into 2011. Given the recent attacks in Guangxi and and Henan this year, I think it's fair to say the 'spree' has continued. However, in all those attacks, knives or other edged-weapons were used. As Andrew Sullivan points out, there were a total of 21 fatalities in all of the Chinese attacks over a two year period (24 if you include the attacks in 2012). The recent shooting in Newtown, Connecticut alone left at least 27 people dead.
The root causes behind such attacks or rampages are largely the same in both China and the US: stress, depression, anxiety, and, most of all, shamefully poor mental health care. All of these factors should and must be treated, but we can't get away from the fact that the vast difference in the respective deaths toll is based on one factor alone, gun control.
Commentators in the US and elsewhere will hold up the tragedy in Henan and use it to say "See, these attacks happen everywhere", and indeed, the potential for massacres, attacks, and rampages of the sort that happened in Henan and Newtown is inherent in every society. But societies which allow their citizens easy access to firearms, of any type, are placing their citizens at a far higher risk of death and injury than those that do not.

Citizens can't do ANYTHING in China. Lol @ using China as a positive example for anything. This isn't fucking China. We have this tiny thing called "rights." Feel free to move there any time though. You won't? Why not? Looks like a gun free utopia doesn't it?

Forgive limitles and his awful Canadian nonsense. Apparently in Canada it's ok for the government to limit rights to "to protect the citizens from themselves." Do you need to ask them when to take a piss too?
