A killing where ideologically a large percentage of the population agrees with you. Something like Ross Ulbricht is the closest thing I can think of, but he was a dorky tech kid who went with no resistance and was scared and didn’t really kill anyone, just tried to put out a hit.

Here is my crackpot theory.

If the guy they are pushing as the guy is in fact the killer, he gives me sort of Soviet bloc vibes.

Looks like he works in tech or IT. Not a military trained person, but knows a little about guns and plays a lot of first person shooter games. Smart enough to get away with it until now, but thinks he is smarter than he is.

The assassin was sent by someone to call United / Brian Thompson & others bluffs.

Someone had privileged information and wanted to get paid. Maybe the result of a hack? The others will pay.

Simple case of blackmail & extortion.

Very weird they still haven't provided a name, but they know where he flew in from, where he stayed, that he used a fake ID, etc.

I still have doubts the dude in the picture is the guy who shot him.

If he never turns up, it will give credence to my theory.

Given the pictures of the unmasked shooter now on Drudge (effeminate looking and thin), and given the fact the CEO was staying at a different hotel then where his own conference was being held, and given the fact someone had to know his schedule when he was walking by at 6:40am, I am going back to my original prognosis, this was almost assuredly homosexual related. This just sounds like a jilted male lover at this point, which is why he "dropped" bullet casings with language on them that looked like he was a disgruntled policy holder. He was obviously disgruntled, but not a policy holder.

Also, as I said earlier in this thread, it was very odd the wife gave comments to NBC News the morning of the murder. Usually the wife is inconsolable. But yet she took the call from NBC and gave comments about someone might have been pissed about lack of coverage, just an odd comment in wake of grief. There is something going on here, and it strikes me as being sexual in nature. Either gay, or a love triangle. Like I said, very few people knew the CEO was staying across the street and not the hotel where the conference was being held. A disgruntled policy holder would not know that.

1) Shooter arrived in NYC 10 days before day of investor meeting.
2) Meeting was NOT announced to public until 2 days after Shooter arrived in NYC.
3) Victim was staying at hotel across the street from the Hilton where conference was being held.
4) Shooter seemed to know this and seemed to know when he was coming to Hilton. (he only arrived at scene 30 minutes before. If he didn't know when he the victim was arriving, he would arrived hours earlier and waited.)
5) Hundreds of Millions of $$$$ of shares were sold off by insiders BEFORE news of the fraud investigations were made public. Victim knows who knew of this and traded on this non-public information.

My guess is that it's a race between the cops and whoever hired the Shooter to find him. If he turns up at all, it will be dead. Otherwise he was disappeared and his body will never be found. People who hire people like the Shooter don't like loose ends.

This is why it's impossible for this to be a random act from a policy holder. Obviously this conference was set up well beforehand. A hired killer would have not gone into a Starbucks before the killing, they don't operate that way, they stay in the shadows. This looks by all accounts a gay lover who knew of the conference, probably from the CEO himself. The fact the CEO and wife just separated, just leads you to believe he was leading a secret life. It's why the CEO was staying at a different hotel then the conference his very own company was holding. My guess is there was a sexual encounter planned, the CEO called it off, probably for someone younger, and the guy got pissed off and this is what transpired.

I just screenshotted these from their website. I put literally zero effort into realizing that they schedule these conferences at the same time every year in NYC, likely even at the same venues. (The week after Thanksgiving) I promise you just with this information and an expectation that the CEO would be there, anyone could have surveilled the entrances and identified the guy.

It's entirely possible some of these wild theories could be the case, but the favorite by far still has to be pissed off relative or customer who themself had a claim turned down. You're talking about a pool of tens of thousands of people with a strong motive. Way too much credit has been given to this guy. Buying the "assassin pistol" is a bit lol in itself.
