I suppose anything is possible and I guess Ill stock up on food because frankly I have to anyway since Ive been fishing up north for months basically.

Im not sure what youre trying to say here. Are you one of those people who thinks it never floods in NYC or something? We get weather, all the time. This isnt shit to me. If it was cold enough to freeze that water, Id say we have a real problem. As it stands, the second the water level drops, all that shit drains. Anyone who has spent a significant amount of time in NYC has seen similar shit happen before.

Want to see me freak out? Watch what happens when we get storm surges like this in single digit temperatures. Watch what happens when those saturated building foundations freeze and shatter. Then you can play Chicken Little with the rest of the media all you want, except of course they wont be covering it with such verve because it wont be an election cycle.

But this shit right now is nothing but soggy car seats in a day or two for most of the areas in those flood pics.

I *do* want to say that in the last 8 hours, bottomsets prediction for another nightmare surge on LI appears to have come to pass; I see we are just under 1 _million_ people on Long Island without power.
