Paul Skenes is what baseball needs right now.

He's an old school type pitcher, with an old school attitude, and even an old school mustache.

The last thing the sport needs right now is another Mark Canha who is woke, always talking about his feelings, and lecturing the middle-aged-plus male fanbase about toxic masculinity. Fortunately Canha isn't very good, and won't ever have much influence.

But Skenes is very good. He has a great work ethic. He's patriotic. He's an American-as-apple-pie sports hero, and he's only 22.

Today's baseball fan can relate to him. He's a youngster from an old school mold.

Hopefully his arm doesn't fall off.
