You make a very strong statement -- you think Badguy's action (or inaction) is tantamount to pulling the trigger and murdering her? Wow. Do you mean from a moral perspective? Because legally, that is not the case.

Thank you - I was happy to be on radio again and I miss it - the interview was sort of foisted on me and I always want to give the listeners what they are clamoring for, but in truth, I would have rather just had a long bullshit session with Druff.

As to my "strong statement"... I'm not making that statement in any definitive way. I'm simply musing. I think there are a lot of variables - too many to draw the conclusion that Bad Guy's dearth of love or irresponsible approach to the relationship "pulled the trigger." For one thing, no man can prevent a suicidal woman from eventually killing herself - if she truly is messed up enough to want to die, even an attentive, loving, marrying type won't provide a "cure." We just don't know enough about the girl to understand the depths of her pain or the reasons for her decision. And truly, we don't know enough about the relationship over the two years he was with her to conclude that it was Bad Guy's behavior that eventually pushed her over the edge. It's all conjecture at this point.

Life insurance won't pay on a suicide anyway. Not sure why Willie keeps mentioning it. Also to collect, bad guy would need to be named a beneficiary which he likely was not. People usually name family members unless they are married.

Unless you have actually dealt with a girlfriend/spouse who was depressed and suicidal you probably shouldn't judge a situation like this, or the actions of badguy. Over time their behavior can weigh on you in ways that only a person who has dealt with shit like this can understand.

Remember something else here too... We're not talking about a family member here that has unconditional love... We're talking about a girlfriend. Over a long period of time it becomes more and more difficult to not become somewhat selfish and just not want to deal with it anymore.

Wow - where the hell did all that come from? First of all, I made a return to radio for one evening, and the chat room wanted me to interview Bad Guy about his suicide story. So I did - the fans want what they want. Bad guy even asked me to. It's that simple - I have never said a single word about this story prior. My thread here was simply me collecting my thoughts after the interview.

Furthermore, Bad guy himself went on another radio show previously and volunteered to discuss this story, so clearly he wanted it out on the forums to be dissected. No one forced him into anything.

And lastly, you are spewing hateful bile at me that is clearly unfounded / not based in any actual knowledge either of who I am, or even of my forum persona. Yeah it's a dirty little secret but yes, they have to pay out for suicides eventually. They can only exclude suicide for a certain amount of time, which is usually two years. If you kill yourself within that time frame they will refund the premiums and refuse the payout. Of course since insurance is regulated by state the exact details will differ from state to state.

And no, I don't have a life insurance policy. I used to sell life insurance though, and even though I was terrible at it I remember that fact because it came up as a question in one of my first meetings with the bosses and it kind of stunned me and we ended up talking about it for a couple of hours.

But things like, questioning why someone left the room, and so on, when this is something I would imagine they've rehashed and blamed themselves over and over again for, really is just no good. Snap judging without all the info for sure. Alphatine jumping to crucify him originally was pretty appalling too.
