    Qatar

    Staying in Qatar for a couple of days with a friend on my way back from Nepal.

    Similar to Dubai but not quite so extravagant. Both places are dripping with money but don't really come off as terribly interesting.

    They have a lottery to play, only the tickets are around $50 a pop.

    LOL at the 2022 World Cup being played in 110+ degree Qatari heat.

    Funny I was just googling Qatar because of all the football matches being played there, including a Canada friendly.

    Also many Euro teams take a break there/train there.

    I'd be a bit leery about travel to the area. Still an ugly hotspot imo

    Lets see... in July I was in Kathmandu, Nepal with some very boring layovers in Qatar. I was expecting a lavish, Dubai-like airport. (Liked Qatar Air, though.)

    Two Nepals to start the thread, check the RNG?
