Pregnancy from Rape is God's Intent

Or so says GOP Senate candidate Richard Mourdock.

Mourdock, Indiana's state treasurer, said Tuesday during a debate against Democrat Joe Donnelly that when a woman becomes pregnant during rape "that it is something God intended."

Romney has already distanced himself from this clown.

Isn't Romney a Mormon cult member himself? There should be no tolerance for governance by make-belief in a democratic system.

This. But some are crazier than others. Mormons are crazy but Mourdock seems crazier.

That's why there's really no such thing as rape - rapists are merely fulfilling the will of God. They're doing His work, and bless them for that.

Indiana's Republican primary voters picked this guy over Dick Lugar, one of the smartest guys in the Senate. I don't think Lugar should have been running for a 6 year term at the age of 80, but it clearly shows the extreme direction that the party has moved toward.

Romney just announced that his TV ads supporting Mourdock will continue to air. Romney has a solid poll lead in Indiana, so it probably won't change the situation there. I was shocked that Obama won it in 2008.

But people elsewhere reading that Romney continues to support Mourdock after this shit shows them that he truly doesn't give a shit about women or their civil rights. Added on top of the "binders full of women", which was a complete lie anyway, it's not going to help him among that 50% of the electorate.

Todd Akin and this douche have shown that their Taliban-level of religious fanaticism deciding public policy is no longer a fringe thing. This is now the mainstream Republican party.

What is fanatical is when liberals compare a retarded republican politicians to the Taliban.

You cant possibly think there is any moral comparison between Todd Akin and group who disfigures and kills school girls for trying to get an education.

You just lost considerable credibility. Comparing ANY politician from the US to the Taliban is asinine and only proves once again how bias you are. Could you be more of a fucking drama queen? The Taliban? Really? God you fucking suck.

They're both religious fundamentalist who promote a theocratic system of government. They only differ in degree. I'll admit it's a pretty large degree. But that kind of fundamentalism has no place in a Democratic society.

    Thank you

I have been trying to get a movement going but not making much progress because it's impolite but it goes like this- FUCK GAY MARRIAGE, that is not the cause, the full legal separation of Church and State IS the cause.

My gay friends support me, everyone else tells me I'm looney or acts like I am but really, is that such a crazy idea?

Why does a religious ceremony, one which excludes gays and shits on women in general, afford person's legal rights and tax incentives? In a country that, supposedly, has a separation of church and state (supposedly)can anyone answer me WHY THE FUCK no one understands what I am saying here?

Make marriage sacrosanct, it's a religious ceremony, and afford legal rights and such to civil unions between whomever as adults see fit.

Why is that so fucking crazy that I get laughed at?

If people could see the logic and appreciate it, they would quickly realize gay marriage is a farce designed to divide we the people and reduce our power so that we are not threats to REAL POWER, the power which keeps us ants instead of Human Beings, by helping us to forget ourSelves.

    By your standards, no.

    By anyone else's standards, yes.

Whatever relationship two individuals, or three individuals and a penguin choose to have and act out in the privacy of their home should be of no concern to the government. It is definitely shown that kids have better life outcomes in general with two parents. The state presently gives privileges to people that the state recognizes as married and that is where all the trouble begins. That is why advocacy groups for all the 31 different Baskin and Robbin flavours of relationships fight to get recognized. The state believes it does good when encouraging things, but in fact it does harm when it encourages anything other than the protection of my private property. The state should get out of the business of recognizing relationships. That would help.

Just a typical Republican. All they preach is less government yet they want to control if a women can decide if she wants an abortion. They want to not let us play online poker with our own money. They dont want faggots to get married. They want to ban porn. I'm pretty sure CMoney would change his views if that happened. I really dont understand how half of the country votes for these idiots.

Most definitely, the government should also get out of the funding of the killing of children. This is not the proper role of government - to kill its own citizens. Whether or not abortion should be allowed at all is a nasty issue - for me - I say if a woman wants to kill her child - that's her business and the business of the natural father. You can also kill your dog if you want. And yes, I am equating a dog to a child. In both cases it is a living being that is dependent on the parent or guardian for well-being. You can also squash a mosquito that is bugging you or sterilize water that has microbes in it. Its good to be at the top of the food chain.

100% agree. The reason they won't is they still deny a bunch of handouts to spouses of people with assets/income. For that reason they want to keep tabs.

That happened in 1976. It was in all the papers.

This is why you are so small. You have taken something totally out of cotext and repeated what you watched on MSNBC. You are a parrot. The first original thought you have will be the last.

THE HEAVENS—Responding to inflammatory remarks made by Republican Senate candidate Robert Mourdock during a Tuesday night debate, Our Lord God The Almighty Father today sought to distance Himself both from Mourdock and from the entire right-wing, fundamentalist Christian movement, sources confirmed.
