Don't know for sure, obv, but it's the most likely answer in this thread, I'd say.
If you're assuming Druff was in a railroad car facing the other train, then he would have to be in the conductors seat or have a nice telephoto lens. It's possible
The railroad switch would back this up as it would direct Druff's train to the left out of the path of the other.
If the conductor is the one who drives the train, and the conductor isn't positioned in the center of the conductor's car, it works just fine. I'm pretty sure conductors on trains I've seen are seated on the left just like automobiles, but I could be wrong. Can't say I've paid that much attention...
edit: quick search says that American conductors sit on the right side, not the left.
Nope, conductors are on the right.......
When I look at the pic again, and realize Druff said his car was parked.....he could have gotten off the train and taken the shot........
obv if Druff simply held up his right hand the conductor would have stopped the train immediately for this photo op
Bought a new car while on vacation?
Either you are parked on a bridge, or the train is about to go in a tunnel...
Train is actually parked/stopped and that's just the sun reflecting off the train.
The more I think of it the more I agree with Bo. No way Druff is saying to the wife(sorry, little woman)......I'm parking here, you get out, leave the door open, me and Benjamin will be fine while I take this photo.
Not happening......Druff was on the other train not in the picture and got off to take the photo.

You're getting a rush playing chicken with that train. You do this every chance you get. You blow off a little steam and achieve that high only a near death experience can give you. Sick.
how long are we gonna be kept in the dark ffs?! i can't handle the suspense.
bump for answers and whatnot.
"After the DOJ shut down sealswithclubs, this was the final picture from the now dormant twitter feed of B. Micon."
Train was stopped on the tracks and wasn't running for at least a few hours.
The front light was left on.
As I crossed the tracks, I stopped and took a picture, making it appear I was playing chicken.
Pretty sure this is some sort of metaphor for druff refusing to back down to micon.
