Doubtful, for a few reasons.

1) There were at least 6 Chums there and I would think all or most were playing to "Win". Of course with Squirtstopher, even when you Lose, you Learn... so hurr hurr it's like Winning!!??!? But seriously, they would not Travel across the country, in freezing Chicago weather (Jan 2023) just to play a Game of Hedge the Bets with Chrissy. He obviously hypes these things up like it's the Greatest Show on Earth (probably like he did those Chaos Men Squirting DVDs not long ago!) and the Chums show expecting to win their travel and membership fees back PLUS the extortion fee he charges them to attend annnnnnnnnnnd win Untold Riches on top of everything.

Only for him to severely disappoint them with his midget moron masturbation Martingaling and when they lose, he's proven he doesn't know how to act.

2) Although I made it seem very simple in my OP, it is a bit more complex than merely handing off chips to another player under the table and letting them bet opposite yours to Hedge it. They have to keep track of which player card is getting rated the highest, but not make it OBVIOUS that it's the ONLY player card placing big bets. They need to calculate how much time to put on one card, before switching it to another one and not getting noticed. No Way Chrissy and his merry band of idiots would keep track of time logged on ONE card and then switch to another. And since these chums are only playing for a day or two, they would not benefit at all from pulling this AP scheme. In fact, they would probably sit there and question Chrissy as to why they would even bother doing this if he could just win EVERY SINGLE DAY... 99% of the time like he promised them in all those Losing Skype Live Play sessions?

The highlights for me in this video were:
