Couple of things, Russia currently occupies 18% of Ukraine sovereign territory. This occupation does not garner any benefits
re: natural resources to Russia.

Russia's war investment consists of the demolition of areas it now occupies and comes at the cost of its citizens

Ukraine and its allies will never bend a knee.
Russia has not felt the impact that is to come.

The future of the next 100 years are two things:

1) Technology Advances

2) Energy Harvesting

I would assume in year 2100 Space will be there, but not now. Russia has no ability to do anything real on the technology front. They do however know how to harvest all forms of energy. That is their prime goal with Ukraine. Whatever settlement is ultimately reached will come down to how much energy they can control from the region. Ultimately, you figure out a way to give the country with 10,000 nukes what they want while all sides save face. It's not like they can lose the war at this point. A draw though is acceptable. This notion they will just pack up and go home will never happen.
