As unlikely as it is, it wouldn't break my heart to see Maidana knock him out. I like Maidana a lot. And I've always wanted to see how Mayweather would act in defeat. I think he would be surprisingly humble.

The hatred that Arum has for Mayweather is kind of what I'm talking about. He despises Mayweather, and there's not a chance in hell that he wants to feed Pacquiao to Mayweather and ultimately lose this battle to him once and for all. Instead, he can keep recycling Top Rank fighters, keep Manny winning, and keep people thinking that Mayweather is "afraid" of Pacquiao. Arum isn't concerned with Pacquiao losing, he's concerned with Pacquiao losing to Mayweather.

I hate to say it, but boxing as a whole might be better off after Uncle Bob is DD.

Bullshit if he really wanted to fight mayweather I guarantee you the only person on the planet who could stop it is Mayweather himself. I agree with whoever said its too late kinda because even though it would have been better to see 2-3 years ago it would still be the biggest fight in boxing history at least the modern era.

I do agree that neither of them want to fight very badly, though. Mayweather is gonna clear damn near 70 million for Maidana. Cleared just as much for Canelo. I'm not shocked he's not rushing to fight Pacquiao. And as long as 500-700k people are gonna pay to see Pacquiao beat up on the same Top Rank fighters, they won't be in any rush either.

Betting the 12 round decision is becoming very +EV in these big time, "main event" fights, even with the big juice now. It's free money with the way these guys fight now.

I've taken the last four Floyd fights and the Rios-PacMan fight (which was a +175 underdog to go the distance, despite Rios having one of the best chins I have ever seen in combat sports!). I dunno when this trend stops, but riding the train for now!

He lives in the Phillipines hes probably the equivalent of a billionaire there. Mannys a huge draw but not close to MM. Plus MM owns everything so hes going to make more. Like he said on all access I know how to make money. The guy knows how to make money cant argue that.

I was watching the fight and the way the fight went I thought 116-112 Mayweather was fair. However, I think the outcome could have been very different if the ref had let Maidana work through Mayweather holds, instead of always separating them. In many of the close rounds Mayweather had periods he was trapped against the ropes so he basically hugged Maidana and got a quick separation. Maidana seemed willing to keep punching and try to work through the holds, and I kinda feel the ref should have let him.

Ironically, I saw Mayweather actually criticized the ref saying he didn't separate them quick enough when they got "tied up" (which was him really just grabbing Maidana when he got in trouble).

I donno. If you bet Pac and Mayweather in their last 10 fights to win by any decision you would have gone 6-4 with Pac and 8-2 with Money. With the odds I would be surprised if you were ahead very much at all. Seems like you might be a little swayed by short term variance.

If you had specified UD you probably would have done even worse as there were multiple split decisions due to what most believe was very bad judging.

Weeks did a fantastic job considering how the fight was going. For the most part, he let them fight it out. Technically, when they clinch, he's supposed to break them up. Clinching is a part of boxing, sure, but it's his job to break it up.

Mayweather should have lost a point for excessive holding.

He also let Chino get away with A LOT. I mean, a lot of refs would have taken a point from him for the multiple low blows, and INSTANTLY taken a point for the attempted knee to the face. I mean, he brought his knee up, and tried to pull Mayweather's head down at the same time. Mix in over 50 attempted rabbit punches, and Maidana certainly should have lost at least one point.

Mayweather typically doesn't complain to the referee. Usually he just fights dirty himself. In this fight, I thought it was justified. As was Maidana's complaints of the excessive holding.
