It is now reported that he made "several large gambling transactions in the tens of thousands" in the last few weeks. While these exact transactions were not disclosed, nor were his results, I feel there's a good chance he lost and it made him snap.

So I'm backing away from the left-wing fanatic theory from earlier, and I'm going with "Busto gambler who felt like he lost everything and wanted to take lots of others out before offing himself."

He does not have any hendonmob results, so he likely didn't play tournament poker.

He did brag at one point to have won $20,000 gambling online, but I'm now wondering if he was just a -EV casino game donk, and yet somehow imagined himself a professional gambler.

the thing that i find odd is the amount of guns found in his hotel room

i first heard it was 16, then 21, or 23

if it was really just one person i don't understand having more than 4 or 5

he had set up two different firing positions, and firing full auto will overheat the barrels quick

but it would be MUCH easier to smuggle in dozens of fully loaded magazines to reload your 4 or 5 rifles (and then maybe a handgun to hel's yourself when the jig is up)

why would one guy need to risk smuggling in twenty something guns???
