If that's a goalpost that works for you. I'm not saying it was a bad investment at 1 or even 2. It's the making a thread about it at 6, or whatever it was the exact minute you made the post, that i'm not too fond of. And even that's whatever. Defending that shit 6 months later on the other hand is fairly Druffian.
At the time there was 50+ biotech companies with as realistic or far more realistic chance at coming up with a vaccine.
Are you honestly saying that it's a good idea to invest in stocks that have gone up 250% in 10 days off something dumbasses read on Yahoo Finance? That with the backdrop of how amazingly bad it was to tie money down in the last 6 months. Neither was remarkably unforeseeable.
Hey if I post some stock Ideas I have will you come back in late June and let me know if they are a good idea or not? If they are speculative biotech stocks and down 10% at that point in time can you Make Case for how wrong it was?
At least Druff has the balls to shit on something right away instead of waiting 6 months.
Exactly what do i gain for following you around and correcting your mistakes? Actually don't even bother with that, just answer the question in the post you replied to.
"Are you honestly saying that it's a good idea to invest in stocks that have gone up 250% in 10 days off something dumbasses read on Yahoo Finance?" You don't think what caused that appreciation is already baked.
Yea...
"Vyera holds rights to market and distribute leronlimab in the US for HIV — if it gets approved. RTF letters can take months, if not years, to resolve, even for experienced drugmakers. CytoDyn has never brought a new compound to market."
"Vyera Pharma, the latest reincarnation of Martin Shkreli-founded Turing Pharma."
...this sounds better and better. So you bought the news twice and keep defending that.
Up another $1 already...sell sell
Unfortunately it’s now down $.25 today, but you have to think long term
The irrational exuberance earlier this year was nuts.
That's about the last thing i care about. I'll wait your response for another 28 days and 5 months for the only question you needed to answer.
It's an 18 year old company run by a mechanical engineer that hasn't exactly produced anything yet. Even if they ever bink anything that would only be enough to make them almost profitable. That's kinda what happens when you pick 500 million in investments in the span of 5 years just to keep the doors open. Just doing business with Martin Shkreli is enough to make it a toxic asset.
Not saying they won't appreciate. There's always Robinhood.
Why did it go up so much yesterday? I almost sold at a small loss but figured why not HODL and see if it moves into the green for me. Not even a blip on the radar really so :whynot

They are small and speculative enough that their own press releases move the price. With few other mechanisms that magnify it.
Kinda reminds me of a public listed biotechnology company I bought into, in the late 90's.
A doctor friend of mine told me they've just done some trials of a new drug in their hospital. He encouraged me to buy a few shares. They were trading at 12c so I invested $1,200
The price just kept going up nearly everyday.
Couple of months later this company is constantly being talked about and everyone is yelling buy buy buy.
They were now trading at $3.50 per share.
Doctor friend tells me to sell as the next stage of trials was pretty bad. I insta sold and was ruing my decision as they climbed to over $4 in the next few weeks.
Then in a period of about a week they dropped to 25c... one year later they're belly up insolvent.
Yea that would be the text book case of buying the rumor and selling the news. The timing of this thread was a classic sell event. Just looking at the chart 10 days prior should have given anyone looking a pretty good idea what was going to happen. At that point any positive news was mostly baked in the price.
Biotech is also fairly expensive hobby. Less talent, long/costly development and competition is brutal. Small fish are at a huge disadvantage.
I had set a standing order to sell my CYDY shares when the price hit $6.20, which would put me in the black.
I don't see on the chart that it ever got there, but I got a trade confirmation last night that all of my shares were sold at $6.21.
I'll take it. :shrug
