That explosion in the bay at Halifax NS will never be forgotten up there in Canada... There were a few non nuke explosions in the 1940s that surpassed in some as high as 4KTs and one that to this day stands as the largest non nuclear explosion in mankind history Hanigsen Germany on 6/18/1946.. Estimated size of the accident 11Kt (the Japanese nukes were 15 and 20Kt) and worse yet the explosion happened while dismantling of Nazi era Chemical weapons was underway which caused its own set of fatilities outside of the explosion itself..

Uhhh… The dome of the Florence Cathedral, built during the Italian Renaissance, has a wider interior than the Pantheon by 2 feet.
