Fuck, now that I think about it, I was thinking both the team and Trevor had an opt out after each season and that would limit the Dodgers exposure. Now that I think more about it, I think just he has an out.
What a mess. The Dodgers have to be hoping it goes totally away or he gets convicted. Might also complicate a plea with the morals clause. The woman went on to send the friend screenshots of Instagram DMs allegedly exchanged between herself and Bauer, noting that she was "going to his house" that week and "already [has] her hooks in," adding, "you know how I roll."
The woman told the friend she was "literally going to get in his head"… "and find pine tar." She added, "trust me I know what I'm doing."
The woman said Bauer was "so intriguing to me tho" and that "hes a whackaddodle. Like Clev," a reference to Bauer's former teammate and San Diego Padres pitcher Mike Clevinger, who she alluded to knowing.
This chick is some nutcase who gets excitement out of reeling in big MLB stars. While that obviously wouldn't excuse any crime committed against her, it does make her look a lot less like a victim, and more like someone who would do anything to get bragging rights and/or thrills from fucking major MLB stars. Her desire to "get in his head" despite perceiving him to be a "whackadoodle" also makes it appear like she was manipulating him from the start, and wasn't simply the victim of an abusive guy getting way too rough during sex.
Reminds me a bit of Kobe Bryant's accuser, who lost a lot of public sympathy when it was reported that "semen from 3 different men" was found in her underwear.

I mean if he gets aroused by punching women with a closed fist in the butt, and choking them with their own hair this guy definitely has a seedy past which will most likely surface. His career is likely finished, he might bounce around the league but as soon as he has a tough stretch he'll be cut. I can see no way how the Dodgers keep him around, not with that fan base. He might be able to latch on to a small market team.
