In the last 14 days black people were 15,1% of those who initiated vaccination with 12,4% share of population.
White people were trucking along with a solid 45,2% with 61,2% of population.

Covid politics are pretty interesting. Mr Trump lost the election in some part based on his handling of the virus. And now here we are having a discussion about the Florida governor becoming president in 2024 even though his politics are similar/same as Mr Trump. However, many people, such as myself, very much regret voting for Mr Biden and would proudly vote for Mr DeSantis should he be a candidate. I like his handling of the virus in Florida. I never once heard him say folks in Florida are not allowed to wear a mask and I never heard him say businesses which wanted to close due to Covid were not allowed to do so and that my friends is how its supposed to work in a free country. Where people are free to choose only a very small minority of people are wearing a mask and I am not aware of any business that voluntarily went bankrupt and closed due to C19 either. And now the children of Florida have an advantage over kids from say Massachusetts considering they were not forced to stay home and learn or not learn via Zoom. Unlike Mr Baker of MA at least the Florida governor is not guilty of mass child abuse.

DeSantis encouraged the counties within Florida to decide for themselves. He is perceived nationally as a Trump clone and you can always just have the real thing. His respect for local politics makes him somewhat unique
I am very much in favor of the trend toward state and local politics. It is the only positive development recently amidst ‘Murica’s political decline. I give only mild fucks what Alaska does but I respect their right to choose. That makes me unique.
