One problem is that Biden, who himself isn't naturally far left, is under pressure to be NotTrump.
So basically everything he does is going to have to be informed by, "Whatever Trump wanted here, I need to do the opposite."
And it will result in a lot of really bad policy.
If Biden won the Presidency, say, 12 years ago, he would have governed much differently. At this point he's decided to go down in history as "the guy who fixed everything Trump broke", which is the wrong way to approach a Presidency.
