Ironically, both groups consider moderate Republicans like yourself to be RINOs, while you think the same of them.
Strange times.
I don't care what they consider me to be.
I am still a conservative as I always have been, and my core conservative beliefs are the same. Any idiot calling me a "RINO" would see that my actual views on the issues are almost all right or center-right, which I'm sure you'd agree to be the case.
At the same time, some of the so-called Never Trumpers in the GOP like "The Lincoln Project" just spout left wing talking points when criticizing Trump, which clearly makes them not real Republicans.
Then you have guys like rum dick who claim to be "Republican until 2016", even though every single one of his opinions seem to be clearly left, and I remember him holding essentially the same views about 10+ years ago.
Being a "real Republican" means holding conservative political views which roughly correlate to the current time period. It doesn't depend upon supporting any particular candidate or recent trend.
Of course there will be morons MAGA fanatics who will call me a RINO, but that's not anything like my skepticism of fake conservatives who start every sentence with, "I'm a conservative, but...", followed by some clear left wing talking point.
