The thing is that they have a responsibility to the law not just to their client. They can't go into court and just make things up. They're not going to have much to say. But they will sure be able to charge Trump a lot for saying it. They just need to be sure they can collect.

I can't support the stalking of lawyers, accountants and other professionals who are serving clients. We have a system where everyone is entitled to representation and professionals sometimes have to take on controversial clients. In my previous post I mentioned that these lawyers have to be careful about conflicting with their duty to the law. But they have a disciplinary mechanism to deal with that, like all professions do.

The people at the top of these organizations who are driving the bus, like McGahn, are already well-known and they will have to live with the professional/reputational consequences of their ridiculous advocacy.

Anyone who stalks or harasses or assaults these people should face legal consequences.
