Combination of factors. You’re blacker, thus poor, but you also are non-union and wages are low, thus a larger percentage of your population needs federal assistance to pay for health care they don’t have through jobs and food assistance. You also have the highest disability rates in the country because your populace is fat and unhealthy. Either way, the idea that blue states are making out on this deal is laughable.
