I'm not completely convinced yet that there was "no foul" at all. I mean, obv nothing prosecutable, but...
The thing I'm having a hard time with yet is the fact that these pulls were more or less on many (if not all) of the doors.
Also, as the walk-around video shows, these were completely open bays and not partitioned off. You can literally walk or even turn your head to see if other doors are equipped the same way or not.
Upon seeing a "noose", on a door pull-down no less, I could take literally 30 seconds or less to pause, take a look around, and determine that it's just a freaking pull-down and not anything to be outraged about.
I'd say there is a less than zero chance that someone saw this as an extremely convenient opportunity to create some outrage
